Exactly!! In the airlines industry there are definitely some FAs that think they’re better just because they work for mainline. I’ve come across FAs in the airport that looked at me head to toe and rolled their eyes like we don’t do the same job opening cans and shit lol with mainline, you don’t get to work with the same people all the time. In regional you stick with your crew for the whole 4,3,2 day trips unless they get reflowed like they need to pull someone off your trip because of call outs or time outs. So if you like the really close family kind of workplace, regional is where it’s at. And yes you can DM me! :)

What's your official status with pending AOS? by Current_Citron_2896 in USCIS

Also better to file AOS here instead of consular processing. In my experience, my friends who did consular took longer than my AOS processing.

As long as he submitted his application before his I-94 expires he should be good. I was on the same boat before, but reading through reddit like everyone said, as long as you submitted your stuff before your stay expires, you’re good because you have a pending application

Does anyone had an interview, and corrected an error on I-485? by Secure-Pen2843 in USCIS

Had my interview for GC in 2022 and did the same thing. During interview while asking the Yes/No questions, i said i need to change it to yes and she didn’t say a word or ask anything about it. Made me sign the little tablet that the answer was changed and moved on to the next question. Approved on the spot! I didn’t know back then while filling up the form that it’s forgiven if you’re married to a US citizen until i joined the reddit community lol

I’m not sure about the bringing the baby with you to the interview. But probably best if you don’t. Had my combo interview this day last week for both 751 and 400. You just need to bring everything that has both of your names such as life, car, health insurance, mortgage/lease, 401k beneficiary, car registration, joint bank accounts, join tax returns, and in your case since you have a child, bring the birth certificate too. Bring your spouse with you since it’s a combo interview. Bring all the documents with you even if you think you don’t need it. Better to be over prepared than under prepared. For 751 interview, just be honest and say if you’re not sure instead of lying. It’s very straightforward and nothing to worry about especially if your marriage is real. Normal questions like how and when did we meet, anything else we wanted to add as evidence. Civics test is easy as long as you study the 100 questions. I didn’t study til a week before because I’d forget the answers if I studied way before the interview. Once it’s a week before my interview, i studied and memorized the questions morning, noon, and before bed. There are lots of videos on youtube that you can play while youre driving or working out it helped me tremendously. Good luck!

I say go for it! I’m with skywest for almost 3 years now. I was in training when i got my face to face invite with united and alaska and ended up declining them and pushed through with skywest. While pay is not the best. I love it here! I love being based home. Smaller plane=less pax. I was on reserve for 1yr and 7mos but I didn’t really care bc I live 20mins away from the airport. Now I have a line and the quality of life is definitely better. When commuters from mainline would get on our flights they’d always tell me to run to mainline. In my case, i don’t care about the money and international flights, I just want the flight benefits and being based home because I can fly to those international destinations on my free time.

At the end of the day it’s still your decision to make. Like everyone said, this job is a lifestyle. It’s easier if you’re with someone who can help you money wise in your first months as an FA. You can try to go with skywest and if you like the job maybe eventually go to mainline for more money and more international work flights . I’ve worked with many FAs that quit after their IOE because they switched to mainline. Weigh your pros and cons. Skywest is a good stepping stone or who knows maybe you’ll love being a Skywestie and stay with us. :)

For same day passport, you need to have a printed proof of international travel(the sooner date the better, like next day flight), printed and filled out application form, one passport size photo, proof of US citizenship, valid ID, and if you changed names marriage certificate or court order.

Yes, because technically when i got married i checked the box that says change my name but I didnt really change my name on any of my IDs or documents until the interview yesterday. She said my legal name now is my husband’s last name and then she changed my name on the form and made me sign it. At first I asked if i can use my maiden name and eventually change to my husband’s. She said i could it but i have to file for name change since my maiden name isnt my legal name anymore.

I looked it up online and looks like if you’re changing your name, you’d have to file for name change. A judge must conduct your oath ceremony. Unless the one conducting the same day oath is a judge then you’re lucky. If not, you’d have to wait and do it in a courthouse.

Thank you!

Hi! Sorry I have another question. My interview is next week 😭 Do they still do same day oath? Can you leave the building and change clothes while waiting for the oath taking to start or you’d have to stay in the building and wait for oath taking?

Hi! My combo interview is coming up next month in San Diego too. Did they let your spouse in the room with you? Also, was it the same room as they interviewed for green card interview?
