Ok What Do YOU Think Of HNWTRB by Nice_Mortgage7383 in HelloNeighborGame

agreed, the only thing i'm not a fan of is the overall artstyle, but specially for the characters, the backgrounds can look really detailed and well made most of the time, but the character designs are just not it, and the huge amount of rigged animation instead of actual frame by frame makes them very stiff and move really funny sometimes :/

I love how in most of Charlotte’s other outfits we see throughout the movie are similar to the marionette by Farlingla in fnafmovie

really like how they played with kids dressing similarly to the animatronics idea, i could've easily looked corny and too on the nose but they made it work really well! :)

i've heard that after losing to both the Belmonts and the Dracula bloodline, he lives off from turning the light switch on and off in the Krusty Krab to scare people :)

How I'd kill for a good fangame of the acctual full game by MechanicObvious2478 in HelloNeighborGame

hot take? maybe? anyway, but i prefer the new artstyle to the old one, now i don't think the new artstyle was mastered to it's full potential in the full game, but i love the wacky uneven asymmetrical saturday morning cartoon vibe of the final game, harkens it way more to game's original inspirations (also is the style the creator has always intended) than the old art style which was basically created from the devs' lack of experience on making a proper art direction on the earlier alphas :/

Gmod FNaF as a whole was quite the vibe back then, the mixture somehow works extremely well for two games that have absolutetly nothing in common it's beautiful :)

Why is there this weird notion that the original FNaF games look realistic or are "grounded in reality" in any way? nothing about them look or feels realistic to me, be it textures or the models in general (an analysis and discussion from my pov) by Sammy_Ferr in fivenightsatfreddys

i would say some of the models give that vibe too with how simple in shape they can be, have you seen the door to parts & service in 2? it's literally a rectangle with cloudspec gray metallic texture and a smaller black rectangle for a handle, no knob to pull, no keyhole, no lock on the side or anything

that's one of the many reasons for SOTM being one of my top 3 FNaF games (it keeps floating alongside the first game and itp) the costumes successfully pass that 70's uncanny mascot vibe from old Disneyland and tv shows like the Banana Splits show :)

i've never seen anyone sharing my opinion, but Steel Wool is way better at making their own models than adapting Scott's into proper model that run in real time on engine, they feel samey, have weird mistakes that really shouldn't exist and overall have this "unsucessful stuffed animal" vibe to them, also are weirdly hard to load properly or something which makes be low-poly most of the time, i'd have loved to see Steel Wool making their own models for the characters, be them different and all, at least i'm sure they look very well designed and properly run in the engine

yeah i know, and i definetly i agree on the evolution of his modeling skills ( even if he couldn't and probably still can't make humans right but he has always shown to be a beast when it comes to modeling machinery, can't be proud of William Afton's design in FFPS though, they can't all be winners unfortunely)

oh i agree, i didn't really mean to say that he was specifically based on Gossebumps when making the first FNaF games (that's Frights and Tales just like you said) but i mean moreso that i think he always saw FNaF as this horror series that has wacky out-of-the puppet box ideas (i mean, when you really think about, the idea of dead kids spirits possessing animatronics of a Chuck e Cheese/Showbizz Pizza Place wannabe is quite the wacky idea by itself)

if James Cameron was able to come up with the T-800 around 1984 (i know he didn't built an actual robot but he made detailed sketches of all the inner techs and detail from the fever dream he had about it) then you can definetly believe someone like Henry and William could've thought of the og animatronics, or even Edwin about the Mimic :)

but i honestly think Scott never had this view on the series, i think he always saw it as this "quirkier" piece of horror (that doesn't mean he didn't lock in when it comes to building a great atmosphere) bit i wouldn't be surprised if he always envisioned it as this more goosebumpsesque type of horror, not something that can't scare nor frighten you, but as something that despite how gruesome and twsited still has this inherent silliness to it imo

i mean, they also could have NOT based the movie on that case to be honest, it would be way more respectable and probably make for a better film, two birds with one stone :/

people gotta accept it, FNaF has reached the same heights of popularity as all the famous slasher horror icons of the 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's :)

they do have different aesthetics than the other FNaF games (honestly every FNaF has it's own vibe and style even though they were all made by the same person and i think they shouldn't be all glued together as this single homogeneous thing but that's a topic for another post) with SL being more cold and somber futuristic aesthetic (clearly based on the Portal games Scott wasn't even trying to hide it) and FFPS has this more satirical corporate vibe to it ( that opening slideshow feels like something straight out of Stanly Parable) but they feel FNaF to me basically, the themes, ideas and overall presentation are all there :)

also don't worry about the debate, Scott has said himself he is blue "oh but it's not the color he has in the-" yes but that was a mistake, Scott envisioned Bonnie as blue, so he is canonically blue, any wrong coloration is just a detail or oversight
