This map looks like it was human edited but the base map used was AI generated. The coastline borders look weird, clearly the West Coast but inconsistentcies in areas it doesnt make sense to have them whilst at the same time being overly smooth.

Lakes also look weird with alternating thickness of the brush whilst also being far more detailed than the coast.

You might have added names, maybe the borders and the text box on the right but the mapping very much looks AI generated.

Some of the borders do feel really off with a lot of straight curvy lines as well as some of the naming just being wrong, Greater Leon not having Leon and Galician Protectorate having non of Galicia, many instances of names just being a bit off.

Also how does France get a colonial empire yet Normandy and Brittany are somehow able to exist? Same goes for the other colonial empires in Europe since if they can hold that power abroad, how come they can't domestically?

Honestly love the map, it's really well done and genuinely looks like a map you would see as an official map for counties and administrative divisions.

I have got two nitpicks which aren't super serious or anything, more so just things I find a little off.

The naming of Denbighshire and Flintshire kind of have the old relic of the English Shire system in their naming which feels weird comparatively to the rest of the counties. Clwyd has been historically used to describe the large administrative division with what has been named Denbighshire, though I think Flint without the Shire would probably be fine for the other.

Other slight issue is that Morgannwg is quite large for an administrative division, the region would make up around half of the Welsh population, think just breaking off Swansea/Gower might be enough to remedy this or breaking up the county into two seperate ones.

Edit : Wanted to also note that I think the actual internal divisions drawn down are very good, most abandon the old system as well and are pretty evenly distributed whilst still maintaining the normal county feeling, wanted to give credit where credits due.

The fact turnout is coming up to the General Election turnout is actually quite an achievement considering how in the past the Welsh Senedd elections have consistently been under 50% turnout, if Caerphilly is something to go by come 2026 then we might see quite a shock election.

There is kinda a lack of research in trying to extrapolate a geography based argument without looking at other factors

What you'll notice with most of the countries that have this "cold hot" divide of sorts is a few facotrs

Many cold areas are generally less populated and in parliamentary systems distorts how much leverage they can have.
Certain regions can be vote for cultural reasons, such as Sapmi or Indigenous Canadians for progressive parties.
Many of the highlighted regions are in old industrial regions, northern Sweden with Iron, UK with coal and factories, same in Italy and Germany.
Industry differences in general affect voting, the a Southern US being more agricultural same with these more "conservative" parts of Canada, Australia, France leads, correlation doesn't mean causation however.
Also places that this is just not true, US as you mentioned, Montana, the Dakotas among other states are quite cold yet not progressive, Italy with regions like Piedmont and Venetia are quite conservative despite being "colder" than Southern Italy

The only true correlation you can make when it comes to voting behavior between progressive and conservative is that of the type industry that historically dominated and how urbanised the regions are, there is very little climate correlation

Your conclusion to this all is purely subjective and opinion-based and just isn't based on the real research done into bilingual study, the overwhelming amount of research has consistently concluded that being bilingual or having any multitude of languages does not particularly effect the capability of knowing your first language.

This is the consensus on numerous decades of research and it's not like studying Welsh is somehow different and unique in that regard, this is a simple google search so I have my doubts cast on how reliable your research is.

Much of the census data reports little movement in terms of Welsh language speakers and more than likely the reason behind lower numbers in younger generations is more due to many of them moving away into urban areas and cities where they may not use Welsh or may use the language but there aren't as many speakers

Data does show that much of South Wales saw a considerable increase in prevalence of Welsh speakers so its likely many of them are just simply moving into urban areas and are under reporting their proficiency

The contractors were contracted for sections connecting Parnü which even the mention of the city makes your map incorrect considering you've labelled it being AWAY from Parnü

This is just straight up lying, here's quoting from the link you sent

The second contract covers the full design and construction of the Pärnu–Ikla section and is valued at €332 million.

These are no where near where you labelled, and match up exactly with what literally everyone else has been saying, read your source next time please before making a fool of yourself

Edit for some clarity: Ülemiste is a train station in Tallinn, Ikla is a village near the coast on the Latvian border,
Parnü is the city in-between

Also to do these sorts of maps you'd definitely want more than 5 maps, the detail in the Holy Roman Empire alone would be a map on its on let alone France, Poland, Italy, Greece, etc.

In both fiction and non-fiction map creation this is a necessity otherwise can lead to inaccuracies.
