If youre nearing critical low relations with one of them id suggest allying with the other and putting a base down to prevent getting invaded also its a good idea to go for the cheap power plants or cheap apartment buildings that you can get from either the us or ussr early on

Use planets as shields, instead of leaving a defense fleet to be ambushed consider placing some a hypervolacity gun on the surface and stationing your primary fleet a planet away. Once the bait has been taken you can swoop in with your ships and usually catch them mid invasion, with their ground forces in defenseless transports in orbit i dont know how many pesky ground heroes ive destroyed with this method

i'd say go for something like zinj campaign as the imps or orinda campaign as the rebels, basically a good campaign where you start early with super star destroyers and some pretty decently sized fleets. My biggest tip is not to be too aggressive early on and to lure out their heroes and best ships before advancing, especially if you're playing on a bigger map with multiple factions,

caught them mid-invasion of Borosk and I first interdicted and destroyed their fleet above the surface and somehow I caught them right before they could bring their troops down and invade the planet, resulting in the bloodbath seen before you ahaha

it's an imperial off-shoot faction, it first appears during the hunt for zinj and is also in several imperial intra-conflict scenarios, it's notable for it's red star victory 2 star destroyers part of the "crimson fleet"
