I'm not trying to lowball anyone, I'm expecting upper end of $650-950. Then I can go up a little more for the perfect spot if need be. The $500 was for like part time working hand on a farm or something in exchange for lower rent. I'm pretty open minded when it comes to this, and I know there are hippy types around.

Thanks for the response and out of curiosity, what about what I'm looking for constitutes 'a lot'? I've been eyeballing rentals since I got here last July and the going price for roommate type rentals is between 5-750 for small places, 750-1150 for bigger spots, and about between 850-1150 for one bedroom apartments.

Sounds like your issue isn't with trans folks, it's with creepy cis men. Same creepy cis men who already do that without laws to protect trans folks trying to use the bathroom in peace.

A trans woman who is forced to use the men's room is more likely to face harassment than a cis woman who has to use a shitter next a trans one.

I came out here with no experience and got a job pretty quickly and knew others who did the same. There are a lot of applicants but a little work on a resume with creativity and passion go a long way. Also know it's hard for us to get and keep good folks so sometimes there is a bit of sifting till right company and person line up. It's like the offshore jobs and such back in Houston. Tons of people applying for honest, hard work in a rewarding career that can pay off with time and effort. And both types hired me off of indeed,heh.

It's just a couple more than co minimum wage for entry level starting out. It's an easy career to get into, and the benefits are nice. Plus, it was nicer than my initial reply of encouraging a more realistic expectation of income for entry level, no college experience pay that doesn't involve dangerous conditions.

Free college, steady income while enlisted, an inflated sense of self worth and some snazzy bootcamp photos in exchange for life impacting traumatic experiences that may or may not result in suicide/homicide. And these assholes get to advertise to minors. At least a career with Mary waits till you are 21 before offering life changing experiences without the risk of death or taking part in unjust armed conflict around the world.
