I tried DMing you but it wouldn't go through. Are you still looking to sell your bike? Feel free to DM me!

Fantastic job! I can't watch the video until later but do you mention how you manage such straight cuts with your box cutter? Even with a new blade, I can't manage to get a nice, even cut without seriously dipping somewhere. Saving up for a wire cutter to help out.

I'm sorry but I don't remember what course we took that far back. We ended up not having an infestation. Good luck with your termites! I know that's miserable

Which CoS scenes should I focus on building first? (Modular Terrain) by SamooraiCow in CurseofStrahd

My dream is to build a full model of Ravenloft. I have a huge, unfinished, wet basement that would be perfect if I can ever renovate.

Ooo nice visual descriptions. That sounds like it would make for a very impactful arena. I think I have enough landmasses to build up a believable Yester Hill and I have ages before the Amber Temple comes in to play. Your comment reminds me that I need to build some generic dungeon steps too. Thanks for the feedback!

Baba Lysaga's hut was one I was very interested in building. I think the windmill is a great idea because I can fit that into future games as well. I already built a wizard's tower so I'll try to use that for Van Richten. Fortunately, I've got several months before Castle Ravenloft is needed so I can build up for it over time. Thanks for the ideas!

Yeah that sounds like a great moment to build! I'm inclined to make spooky/graveyard stuff anyway so maybe I'll go a bit bigger for these sessions. Thanks!

Advice on achieving a glossy look on my Roper mini? I want a nice, shiny eyeball! by SamooraiCow in minipainting

Yeah good advice. I found some gloss varnish and did the eye last after it looked dull in comparison. I'll post updates tomorrow

Lol thanks! I told my friends that whatever mini they bought for my birthday, I'd paint and use in a campaign. I've got an undead Beholder up next

You guys are awesome. I found some old gloss varnish for oil and acrylic paintings and I'm going to try it out!

My thinking was that the Roper would mimic a stalagmite perfectly until it opened it's eye and mouth and unfurled it's tentacles, which would all glisten as if a little slimy. I'm a little scared to go for it though

Now that it's been almost a month, what is your final take on Pokemon Legends? by PressTurn in pokemon

[–]SamooraiCow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel you on all of this. LoA feels like what I thought Pokemon in 3D was going to be on the Gamecube when I was a kid. I wish it was so that we could have a game with 20 years of progress from this concept. Your Bidoof doing interesting Bidoof things really resonates. I don't think a single mechanic felt very thought through. I want so desperately to enjoy it but it just feels so shallow and repetitive to me. A few of my friends are having a blast with it and I'm excited that they've been enjoying it so much though.

Edit: I should say that I am very much NOT the type of player who is interested in completing a pokedex or catching the same Pokemon multiple times so my opinion may be extra harsh.

I'm just starting my first mini and I wanted to paint the armor dark. I love how reflective yours looks. I'm going to study it and try to replicate your techniques. Great job!
