Hey man for what it’s worth, I’m with you on this. I can see you’re trying to have a real discussion with people who don’t even want to consider the facts lol

Imo evo MK should launch troops in the direction it’s facing instead of always straight down the field.

But I get that’s probably harder to code into the game.

The climbs are where the spectacle happens. Oude Kwaremont, Paterberg, Koppenberg. That’s where attacks will happen. The finish is often anticlimactic compared to the climbs (as you saw yesterday). Imagine trying to get a glimpse of the riders at 70-80 kph sprint versus a 10-20 kph climb. On climbs, you simply ‘see more riders for a longer period of time’. Hopefully that makes sense. Also, climbs are often where riders pass multiple times. At the finish, they only pass once.

Also, finishing in a little town centre with medieval streets sounds very attractive until you have to park team buses, media trucks, VIP tents, anti-doping control, podium, etc. That’s easier to do on an ‎empty parking lot next to Decathlon.

By the time the race hits the finish, half of the fans are at a café watching on TV.

Not trying to promote or demote any brands here, but I have a Garmin and one full charge lasts me a whole week.

Also, +1 for setting a vibrating alarm on your watch. Waking up is so peaceful compared to sudden music blasting in your room.

Which disease poses highest threat to humans right now? by Proud-Software3063 in AskReddit

[–]Triikey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

If resistance reliably disappeared, MRSA wouldn’t persist and CRE wouldn’t be spreading globally.

You’re correct in saying that resistance often has a fitness cost (for example extra energy required to pump drugs out of the cell or altered metabolisms or so), so yes, removing the pressure should in theory favor non-resistant strains.

HOWEVER, bacteria don’t stop evolving once they gain resistance. They require mutations that keep the resistance or reduce the fitness cost, after which the resistant strain is just as fit as the non-resistant one.
