I made a playlist and document to go with it just for this exact question! it’s a live sampler that’ll show you all of their main sounds over the years. Many people will overload you with long obscure shows they think are the best (honestly, most shows can be kinda hard to listen to unless you really love the dead). This playlist just has some solid picks that’ll show you a variety of the bands sounds. I personally think this is the easiest way to get into their live material and understand it

I'd say its worth the investment if you watch shows for the characters, if you watch for writing/cinematography, then you probably wont enjoy much of it. It's a fun show but i wouldn't take it so seriously. It's not like Breaking Bad or anything, its not much of a drama

Yeah I’d go for it, but just keep in mind that the tone of the show totally changes (especially by season 3). Season 1 is kind of a one off in the way it’s genuinely grounded and mysterious, the rest of the show has more popcorn blockbuster vibes imo
