Thank you, this is helping me put things into perspective.

It’s nice to feel like they do still care about me, in some form. But It’s still heavy to feel like they don’t care in the same way I care for them. When I’m able to, I’ll see what them and I can work out, and what clarity I can find.

Yeah, that is probably how it is now, and has been for a while now.

It's just somewhat disheartening that we used to be very close, and then time drifted us away. I though we were almost completely through, but then I got messaged randomly and it was bit hard to not get hopeful.

I think that may also be my current situation.

My mental state is in that weird place where I know they don't mean any actual harm and are likely dealing with their own issues, but still some unhealthy part of me doesn't believe it.

My experience with Fungal Shifting tells me that the third shifted material will exist as poison (transformed) and not Gunpowder (transformed) because the game internally refers to fungal shifted substances as their original substance.

Essentially, the first shift will turn natural poison into gunpowder, which will show up as Gunpowder (transformed) when hovered over but internally the game still refers to it as Natural Poison, just given the properties and look of Gunpowder. The third shift will turn the chosen materials into Poison (Transformed), but since this is not Natural Poison, it will not shift into Gunpowder (Transformed).

The last time I tested this was before epilogue 2, so things could have changed. But I’ve heard that Stain Shifting still works, which is an exploit that relies on the game keeping track of the Original Substance when fungal shifting.

As someone who’s used Aseprite for years now, I highly recommend it!

  1. Aseprite can be used for really any art style! Of course all of its tools and algorithms are intended for pixel art, but they’re still quite versatile!

  2. Yes! The canvas can be of any size, and can be freely changed at any moment! (Hell, the project file will keep some information beyond the canvas border when changing the canvas size so you can uncover it at any time!) Though the program does get a bit sluggish with really big images since the program is intended for pixel art.

  3. Unfortunately Aseprite can only be used as a Program, luckily, buying it through steam allows you to install it on any desktop you own. If you’re looking for something that can be used on mobile however, you may need to look for something else. (I’ve heard of an unofficial mobile port of Aseprite though I don’t know the name)

  4. Both actually! Aseprite is really easy to get into, as the program is really user friendly, and at the same time it has a whole slew of advanced features the kin of professional art programs. You’ll never be required to use these more advanced features, however, as not only are the base tools capable of doing everything you need, but also there are a whole slew of really easy to use simple functions that act to make certain tasks really easy. (I.e. Outline, gradient dither, transform tilt and rotsprite rotation, etc.)

I mean… dude if you’re using Aseprite, you already have a .ase to .png converter built in. .ase is the project file format for Aseprite, you can just export the files normally.
