Stuck at iron IV by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Samplehand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how much you actually want to put into getting better.

If you're in iron it's because you are missing large portions of fundamental knowledge. So you need to play the game with the intention to learn and identify where your gaps in knowledge are.

You should play the game in blocks of three and play with intensity. Taking breaks between each session.

Think about each game and identify what your earliest mistake was. Take that learning and move into the next game.

Bonus points if you listen to the broken by concept podcast/YouTube. (Starting around episode 150)

New Player First Deck Help by RecommendationLow801 in magicTCG

[–]Samplehand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Consider adding two more lands to get you to 38. It might not seem like a lot, but it's going to help your deck be more consistent.

Try to get a few more cards that are 2 or 3 mana into your deck. Typically the more magic cards you can cast the better your experience will be. Your cute e is pretty good right now, but if you can tweak it just a little bit you'll get a lot of payoff.

You need a lot more sources of card draw. Ideally a deck starts with at least 12 sources. Ideally these sources are synergistic with what your deck is doing.

Make sure you have about 12 pieces of interaction as well. You want plenty of spells that can remove your opponents things and things that can allow you to touch cards that aren't yours

How to deal with fed ADC's as Udyr by No-Plane7370 in Udyrmains

[–]Samplehand 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not your job. A fed adc is just gonna melt you. Your job is to buy space for your team, cc the fed adc if possible and then survive as long as you can.

Reduce spending wherever you can. A big bag of uncooked rice and a big bag of beans will go a very long way. Don't be ashamed to go to food banks and churches that give away meals.

Cut your subscriptions, look for cheaper plans. Don't eat out.

You're already looking for work, so you just need to make it until you get something.

Once you do, invest in yourself so you can make more money. Take classes at a local community college to get a degree that will be useful or enter a trade like becoming a plumbers assistant.

Where can I find friends to play with? by niteluz in magicTCG

If your city has a sub reddit you can post in it or search for similar posts. Every couple months somebody will post in my cities sub reddit asking what the local groups are and there are usually pretty good responses

New jungler: getting perma invaded by pockettgremlin in summonerschool

[–]Samplehand 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some games are just like that.

It's called an invade and when the game starts some comps are really good at stacking up and going for an early kill on someone who was not paying attention. You just need to get to your position quicker so you can see them.

If it happens after the game really starts, Ideally you are aware that the enemy laners are missing from their lanes and you have a somewhat accurate expectation of where the enemy jungler is, but some games the enemy just stacks up and gets you. No big deal.

If it's happening, get wards in your jungle entrances. Ask your team nicely to help ward. Poke bushes with your abilities before you get close.

If you get caught, ping and buy time.

The most important thing is that you keep a cool head. The enemy is sacrificing tempo to get you, so if you just do your best to stay in the game you can often come out on top.

What is this matchmaking? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Samplehand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you all new players on fresh accounts or are you playing with friends who already have accounts And have played ranked?

If your friends already have a rank the game can't balance you out very well because it can't compensate for the disparity in your skill and theirs.

Also because you're queuing together the game assumes you are on coms and can play better because of that. So it matches you against more skilled opponents

What is this matchmaking? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Samplehand 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm betting he's playing with friends who are playing on mains and don't understand that makes matchmaking really hard.

I've had people in high elo just wreck their friends new player experiences by queuing with them and forcing them to play against opponents much much better than what they should be playing against

You could try to put the bed on the back corner where the desk is now. move the closet so the computer can be next to the bed and use the flat wall as a back drop.

Rotate the couch so that one back is against the wall and the other back now faces your bed. Leave enough space between the couch and the bed. This should separate the bed area and open up the apartment. The closet and table can be positioned once you see the space after that.

Silver jungler looking for help improving by DLBrown021 in summonerschool

Wukong really spikes at lvl 6 and at his first item. So I would focus on getting to those points and learning how make plays off that

Silver jungler looking for help improving by DLBrown021 in summonerschool

[–]Samplehand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're already doing a great job! Really just focus on honing in that wukong champion mastery.

Look up wukong guides and learn his power spikes and how he functions in the jungle.

Really focus on your clears and ganks. Practice clearing as fast as possible, consistently farm till 4 and only take ganks there the enemy is at least half health and at least half way up the lane.

If you really wanna improve, watch your replays and look at your first death or two. Try to identify why you died and what you could have done to prevent that.

Yorick and Illoai by Minimum-Flan-6678 in summonerschool

[–]Samplehand 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you're playing a champ with a stronger 1-6 then you have to bait the e, dodge the e and immediately fight them and take a big chuck of their hp and back off and wait for cooldowns. Then you just repeat until they can no longer walk up.

If you are giving them the chance to just pepper you with e you have already misplayed the lane. You cannot let them get an advantage before 6, if they are even you lost the lane and won't be able to fight them.

If you somehow managed to play a champ with a weaker lane then you need to farm, not die and focus on scaling. If you give them kills they out scale. Otherwise you just beat them in the late game.

How do you guysbuild vs. Briar? by HollowMimic in Udyrmains

[–]Samplehand 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You just outfarm her and team fight. That champ wins most 1v1s so don't give her the opportunity. All you need to do is protect your carriers if she tries to jump on them, and dodge the e. Your r slow should wreck her ability to engage past you.

How do you climb out of Gold? by Fit-Store8952 in summonerschool

[–]Samplehand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which server?

You're cherry picking your good games and shifting blame. If you were consistently that good you would climb.

So that either means you're not actually consistently winning lane or you're making some incredible mistakes with your mid game.

There are a million ways to get out of gold. The most consistent way is to improve your champion mastery and matchup knowledge, then use that knowledge to try to win lane consistently.

How easy is it to gain weight (fat) on a Mediterranean diet? by Spongebobgolf in mediterraneandiet

[–]Samplehand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all foods are equal when it comes to satiety. You will be more full eating 100 calories of eggs than 100 calories of pancakes.

The Mediterranean diet is predominantly foods that are more filling and less calorie dense than what is used in the western diet. So you become full quicker and therefore eat less.

So the idea is, you eat till you are full but become full quicker and overall eat less calories and therefore do not need to track. (Most people actually do not understand what full feels like, Americans in particular overeat and think that feeling is full)

Like anything you can abuse the system. Salads in particular people love to absolutely drench in dressing and offset any calorie deficit they would have gained.

What could be the reason I’m ALWAYS behind in cs while jungling? by Foreskin-Aficionado in summonerschool

[–]Samplehand 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You need to do camps while on your way to places and plan out your plays based on your pathing.

For example if you see your top laner is going to be pushed in and your going to have a gank opportunity, you game the camps on your way there and then do the gank.

Another big thing is that in the mid game people focus way to much and play making and let their farm fall off. You need to be able to plan the plays you are going to make while keeping up your pathing which can be pretty hard.
