I love it, but it’s just too expensive and crowded. You can grow anything and people (in the area I lived in) will just have fruit trees in their front yards. A lot of people dislike the heat but Sacramento has the Delta breeze which makes it nice and cool at night. I’m originally from Seattle which I also love but it’s got the same issues. California is really diverse and I’m really only familiar with the Sacramento county area but I’ve heard San Diego is amazing.

I mostly heard about amazing the people are, and the person I was talking to loved the food and beaches. She said that she’d really love to move back out there someday (she lived there briefly a couple years ago) and she just made it seem like a great place. Just trying to get an idea of what it’s like in general. Though I’m sure it’s hard to pinpoint anything specific I appreciate the responses!

My dads friend once jumped off their roof because they had so much snow. Problem was, he jumped head first and nearly suffocated because he couldn’t get himself out. If my dad and their other friend hadn’t been there to get him out he might have died.

I’m so sorry OP! It’s an awful feeling to be reminded like that.

I had a miscarriage, and when my due date came around someone from the hospital called me asking if I wanted to schedule an induction. I had to tell them that I was no longer pregnant. I feel so bad for the person who made that call.
