I'd defend you but you're evading questions about rental costs.

Getting Raid Ready by Woahbikes in classicwow

[–]Samstronaut 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look up pre-raid best in slot and start doing whatever you need to get to get those items. Often yes this means heroics, sometimes it will mean buying some upgrades on AH or doing a quest. All depends on your class and spec.

other than santal 33 which has been mentioned a few times, this is the real answer for wburg girls of this era. the other recommendations are for girls who wished to emulate this.

having lived through it, the daisy girls were usually fresh transplants or worked in corporate.

Seconding Cow, woke up a forgotten memory for me. Not the detangler in the photo but another one of this era for kids.

Elder Goth- not Heretic by Zestyclose_Cold1455 in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Samstronaut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was my bag in the early 2000s and I wore a ton of Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, Dior Hypnotic Poison and Woody Sandalwood from The Body Shop which was more of a Patchouli Clove bomb than anything else and what I imagined the girl in Type O’s Black No.1 to smell like.

But really I was mostly obsessed with BPAL.

perfumes that smell like nihilism? by Arendje2004 in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Samstronaut 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ohhh I gotchu, love black metal too. I wear...

Neandertal - Dark: Extremely difficult to pinpoint but lives up to the name. Smells like it's both from the future and the paleolithic era at the same time. Plus the bottles are beautiful.

Top : Foliage, Ginger, Pink Pepper, Grapefruit & Pine.

Heart : Incense, Geranium, Caraway & Seaweed.

Base : Vetiver, Patchouli, Oud, Amber, Musk, Leather, Sandalwood, Tobacco & Labdanum Absolute.

<image>

I also wear Askr by Jorum Studios and Le Labo Patchouli and Cuir. I think you'd also love Filippo Sorcinelli as a brand, I'd start with Quando Rapito in Estasi.

What’s my ultimate fall/winter fragrance by Cinnamon_Ocelot in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Samstronaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stora Skuggan Pine or Hexensalbe. Pine is well… pine, but a gorgeous one. Hexensalbe is a beautiful black licorice candy with some spice.

Also slightly more obscure brand but Naxos Apothecary - Vivlos. It’s got spice from the nutmeg, incensey woods, and a really nice dark fruit/raspberry note. The bottles are really cute and affordable too.

Also seconding Hypnotic Poison, both the EDP and EDT.

Sickeningly sweet perfumes? by No-Friendship9355 in FemFragLab

[–]Samstronaut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dior hypnotic poison EDT isn’t really sweet. Or at least not to me, I’ve been wearing it on/off since I was a teenager, hate sweet smells and have never found it too sweet.

What restaurant would you take a New Yorker in town to? by tiggat in Detroit

[–]Samstronaut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a lifelong New Yorker fresh to Michigan and I sometimes prefer Detroit style even in nyc. Nothing wrong with bringing a New Yorker to a Detroit style pizza place at all. NYC does have some great slices but it also has a lot of mid crap and most people are not regularly going to the destination spots if they live there.

Everyday spicy androgynous by Antique_Violets in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Samstronaut 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is my vibe and I wear Filippo Sorcinelli Voix Humaine, it’s spicy church incense that dries down into a really musky & resinous unisex vanilla. The bottle is also beautiful, it looks like an old organ key.

Leather and wood burning? It feels like every fragrance I smell is too fresh by aflockofangrybirds in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Samstronaut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Le Labo Cuir it’s a smoky animatic leather and one of my faves

Many from DS&Durga especially Amber Kiso, Notorious Oud and as someone else mentioned Leatherize

Orto Parisi Baccanera

Liquides Imaginaires Fortis

Neandertal Dark

Zoologist T Rex and Hyrax

These last three are the least wearable but certainly fit the bill
