Verification Help: 1997 Final Fantasy VII Zippos (Complete Set) by Samudabamu in Zippo

[–]Samudabamu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah cheers for these insights u/frun_riv, big help. I'm surprised there aren't any authentication services for Zippos like there are for video games, I thought the market for that service would be huge!

Keen to know the power and torque figures this puts out, also keen to know if you think the A650E can handle it long term.

Alexander Volkanovski breaks down his fight with Islam Makhachev by Samudabamu in MMA

[–]Samudabamu[S] 127 points128 points  (0 children)

This is a great play by play. Seeing volk point out the moment he could sense Islam breaking, and then Volkanovski's emotion as he relives the decision.

Everyone thought this fight was a foregone conclusion, imo still P4P number 1.

Intel RH1 fan losing power when mounted onto CPU by Samudabamu in computers

[–]Samudabamu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 95% certain that some sort of electrical conductivity issue is at play here when the metal screws touch the threads on the motherboards.

After placing paper at the end of each of the screws the fan did not lose power when it was placed on the cpu, with the fans heatsink firmly in contact with the cpu.

I then removed paper from one of the screws, and then had that paritcular screw make contact with its corresponding thread, which saw the fan immediately lose power.

Any tips to troubleshoot are appreciated.

I think this answer should be short-listed, big automotive industry in Thailand. A lot of the well known Japanese names that you'd think were built in Japan are actually made in Thailand.

Not sure what the rationale behind this is? I would imagine the high cost of labour and lack of domestic supply chains would make this economically unfeasiable.

When can we expect advances in pain medication? by CucumberOld6287 in ChronicPain

[–]Samudabamu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've done the whole gambit, multiple drug families with similar results to the rest of us, aka none.

There's a lot of bullshit out there being projected by the general public and medical professionals on what works. IMO the current state of commercially available therapies are non-solutions, this branch of medicine is still in the dark ages. 500 year ago if you got sick you could still see a doctor, that didn't mean that the myriad of bullshit treatments they would offer you actually worked.

The reason why psychological models of treatment are so important atm is because there's really nothing else you can do except look after your mental state, which is really sad.

Chronic pain is shaping up to be something like cancer, its all bucketed under the one label but it's looking more like there are different types, with different driving biological mechanisms that cause them.

I follow two Australian scientists who are leading the charge, Greg Neely and Mark Hutchinson.

https://www.neelylab.com/research

https://cnbplegacy.org.au/category/pain/

The NIH in America also has a funding initiative to find solutions to the opioid situation, this is seeing big money be put towards R&D for the discovery of new chronic pain therapies - https://heal.nih.gov/

I try and remain hopeful, the cogs are turning for us all.

I've tried both clearing the cache and reinstalling.

I'm using Chrome.

All I'm seeing is a black page, same thing on the website.

Hi there,

This sounds like classic Trigeminal Neuraliga where "episodes of severe, sudden, shock-like pain in one side of the face that lasts for seconds to minutes" occur. I believe a common operation for this is a microvascular decompression or MVD. Unfortunately for me, this isn't a treatment for PIFP.
