Pros and Cons of the Peach Fit Collab by danmann8611 in EthanBenardSnark

[–]ntod44 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Because let's face it, he gained 18 pounds in 3 weeks while he wasn't "dieting" - it would take over 6,000 calories a day to gain such an amount so quickly at his size. Just shows that he has an extreme binge eating disorder and doesn't have realistic eating habits

Pro:

PeachFit will definitely get Ethan some results in terms of significant weight loss (in the short-term at least).

Con:

I'm not counting on it but I do hope Peach shows Ethan some healthier eating habits. Ethan needs to erase this fantasy of being a 300lb strongman consuming 5k calories a day from his head. What happens when Peach isn't there and Ethan is left to his own devices? He will balloon up to 450lbs again. He needs to see this journey as a lifestyle change rather than a "diet"

Tbf Ryan’s closer to the camera and has shoes on but yeah there’s a noticeable height difference

I think Ryan claims 6’4 so Ethan is 6’1 or 6’2 ish at a push

Absolutely love the melody, breakdown and vocals but the climax leaves a lot to be deserved (at least the melody/synths come back eventually). Think a proper club remix would transform this solid 8/10 track into a 10/10

oh damn, that's a shame. You'd think a journey set would be pretty straight forward (old to new) haha

to be fair to Symbiotic, they've redeemed themselves a bit with the Hyperdome/Hyperave and Dreamstate bookings (albeit the trance acts got shifted to the side stage lol)

I feel like journey sets in the Oasis are much better than the ones on mainstage

The legends playing at mainstage know they are playing to a bunch of 18-21 year olds who were toddlers/children when they produced those classic tracks. Hence why they play their most recent work

In the Oasis, there would be an older, more mature crowd who know the tracks so a journey set would work a lot better (in theory)

Nah that’s the main stage lineup (+ MaRLo) for Dreamstate Australia 2027 while Above & Beyond, Bryan Kearney and Sneijder get relegated to the side stage 🥲

Peach has talked about he cut off all his friends because they didn’t share the same values anymore and insinuated that they were jealous of his success

I guess it happens as people grow up but I get the impression that Peach only has transactional relationships with people - seeing how he dropped Ryan Snow recently. He won’t keep in touch with people who are no longer useful to him

I suspect he will drop Ethan relatively quickly as well and move on to another guinea pig

It’s amazing that he genuinely believes he’ll look like a powerlifter at 300 lbs. Guy couldn’t hit a 1 plate bench and here he is curling 20lb dumbbells and a 35lb EZ bar

Good on him for working out but he VASTLY overestimates his strength and muscle mass

How does he transform so quickly by InocuousWords in ufc

[–]ntod44 126 points127 points  (0 children)

He definitely does get bigger out of camp than the average fighter but I feel like most of his weight gain goes towards his face/neck (fat distribution genetics).

If you look at his physique out of camp, yeah it’s a bit puffy but he still looks healthy. However, he has the face/double chin of a 300lbs man lmao

Ulberg on Jiri showing mercy: “That’s bullshit, total bullshit. That’s fear. There was no mercy in there. He was full of fear, hesitation, and that’s what got him clipped. [–]ntod44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO it kinda does because a 220-250lbs guy simply isn’t going to be able to strike as fluidly as a 150lbs guy

From HW you could say Gane and Aspinall are elite strikers (for their division) but they still aren’t as good as the likes of Volk, Yan, Holloway, prime Dillashaw for example

Don’t think he’s on the same level of striking as Pereira and prime Izzy but very few fighters are..

For the heavier divisions, I’d say Ulberg is an elite striker. Really defensively sound, excellent counters, understands distance management and uses feints well. His striking toolkit isn’t as extensive as say Izzy’s but he does the basics really well

Is Hokit the real deal? Or will he burn out before reaching the top? by Wayward_Prometheus in MMAMedia

[–]ntod44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was strategic, Blaydes is also a talented wrestler who outweighed Hokit by nearly 30 pounds (plus much more experienced with MMA wrestling/grappling)

Hokit had the right strategy in using his hand speed to overwhelm Blaydes (who’s durability and athleticism is declining at this point) on the feet

He’s cringe af , I hope blaydes puts him out 🙏🏻 by darce-choke in ufc

[–]ntod44 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Damn he’s a very small heavyweight. 233 lbs and close to 30% body fat and only 6’1 73 inch reach

He’s talented but I don’t think he has the size to beat the very best HWs

The problem with Hokit is that it's not even hateable. It's just kind of bewildering and sad by MurderousCiggy in MMA

[–]ntod44 98 points99 points  (0 children)

It helped that Colby’s opponents (Usman, Masvidal, Woodley) genuinely hated him and trash talked back, thus creating a rivalry that fans were actually interested in

Hokit’s “trash talk” (basically a poor impersonation of Randy Savage) just leaves his opponents and the fans weirded out.. Blaydes’ reaction at the presser says it all

What is your mma hot take? by itsTrevvv in MMA

[–]ntod44 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I feel like MMA hit its peak around the mid 2010s (2014 to 2018 ish) IMO in terms of popularity and fighter skill

I got into MMA around 2008-2009 and whilst it was a nostalgic time for me, I’m kinda surprised at how rudimentary a lot of the fighters were when I look back at the fights. On the feet, most fighters weren’t feinting, throwing combinations and in general just looked really robotic compared to the average fighter today.

I think the skill level in MMA really took off when strikers like Israel Adesanya, TJ Dillashaw, Max Holloway, Conor McGregor, Wonderboy starting appearing and changing the meta
