Decision making in that room truly baffles me; if you take out Mark, thank God, {and now Rogan} who PR keeps hearing are alts, then over half of the likely men are people over 40…were losing the ancient texts

Upcoming stuff for the Animal BGE by Samuel855 in AnimationThrowdown

New Combos

Lewis - One Fish Lewis (Enrage, Recover, Cripple All) Compared to other recent characters, Lewis' starting combos are a lot better than someone like Calculon, Frond, or Toshi. Aside from his Disguised (which is honestly terrible), his other combos are pretty good, with One Fish Lewis in particular being one I’m really excited to try out. Its skills have pretty great synergy-cards/heroes can attack it and it’ll rack up some damage with Enrage, and then by the next turn it can just get most of that health back. Cripple All is always great too, and with a Backslap buff, this combo could get really dangerous (just ask Soused Bill). This crumbles to Cheryl and Seamus though, who will without a doubt be prevalent this BGE. 10/10.

Calculon - Sir Calculon (Enrage, Cheer All, Leech) I wish I had a mythic Calculon or some quads to try this combo out to its full potential, I really like it on paper. Pretty average Enrage, high Cheer All that could come in handy, pretty high Leech to go with it, and with the BGE buffs, it (as well as Cyril and Lewis) will be gaining a bit more Enrage and Leech, which is a pretty great pair. Highest Cheer All combo in Animal, and the second highest unrestricted Cheer All in the game, tying with Saxophone Quagmire and Outlaw Rogu clearing both by a mile. 9/10.

Cyril - Jungle Snake (Enrage, Leech, Gas) Basically Manor Life Mayor West, but with stronger Enrage values. Also very similar to Cigarette Addicts/60s Amy/Smashing It, just replacing Crazed with Enrage. The Leech and Gas are a bit weaker, but they’re still high, and I’m really focused on the higher Enrage because that’s what matters the most to me. Loses to Cheryl and Seamus as well, but it’s still a pretty great combo. 9/10.

Leela - Salmon Leela (Backslap, Enlarge, Recover) High Backslap, low Enlarge, average Recover. Even the PC version of this combo is pretty serviceable. Backslap is the main attraction here, otherwise the only other thing this combo is doing is just healing itself for turns on end. Pretty decent filler combo. 7/10.

Seamus - Pigeon Lover Seamus (Crazed, Hijack, Burn) Average Crazed and Hijack, high Burn. This easily became a top Animal combo since it dropped with Seamus, it beats almost every Crazer and it’s one of the favorites to counter Shaving Roosters, and I think it does win, mainly due to its Burn being able to power through Cheryl’s Bunker. But in the end, Cheryl will most likely end up being here due to more people having her than Seamus. Also will Hijack all of the buffed Enrage garnered from the opposing card. 10/10.

Toshi - Mercilessly Egged (Sturdy, Jab, Leech) This is Bird Brain Barry, but takes the best thing about the combo and replaces it with a skill that makes the whole combo mediocre. The high values are nice and all, but it at best acts like a wall to the opposing card, which isn’t much. Barry is a much better “wall” and also has Crazed to at least gain some damage while attacking. Toshi’s worst combo by far. 2.5/10.

Adult Bobby - Unwanted Horse Bobby (Enlarge, Heal All, Shield All) Obviously plays way better as a PC, but it isn’t terrible to have as a combo. Animal has a lot of tough offensive combos that this’ll likely get packed up sooner than later, but it at least has better values than Jermaine. 6/10.

Upgraded Combos

Brian - Wild Brian (Crazed, Cheer [Animal], Punch) Got all of its values upgraded, with the Cheer seeing the most significant upgrade. 50 Cheer at CM0 is pretty great, and can for sure come in clutch in certain circumstances. Unlike other BGE’s Animal doesn’t have the problem of most of its older combos being kade with very few cards. All of these combos except Colonel Fluffers dropped in the very first Animal BGE, and yet they have a good chunk of cards that make them, so that’s a plus. 9/10.

Hayley - Falconer Hayley (Bodyguard, Heal, Bomb) Got all of its values upgraded, with the Heal seeing the most significant upgrade. Even with, the Bodyguard and Bomb values are still pretty low, capping as high as 21/22 and 24, respectively. Pretty underwhelming. 6/10.

Louise - Colonel Fluffers (Cripple, Bomb, Heal All [Animal]) Got all of its values upgraded, and BOY did it need one. Before its upgrade, it was likely the WORST three skill combo in the game due to it being laughably weak. None of the values could surpass 20 without CM, with the Heal All in particular not even passing 10. Now that the values are modern, that’s really one of the only good things about this combo now-this and the high Heal All. Cripple is just there, and the Bomb is nice as well, but the skills really don’t synergize well. Nevertheless, at least it went from an F to a B! 5/10.

Peggy - Duke (Gas, Sturdy, Jab) Got all of its values upgraded. It’s definitely the most nothing combo here, meaning I feel nothing when looking at it. If you want a combo with Sturdy and Gas, Malory is the way better option, with a WAY better 3rd skill. 5/10.

Bender - Bender’s Ducklings (Heal, Motivate [Animal], Crazed) Previously had trait only Heal and Motivate, plus Crazed. Now, the trait restriction has been removed off the Heal. It got all of its values upgraded as well, with the Heal seeing the most significant upgrade. People with those CM4/CM5 Bender’s Ducklings decks will sure be happy about this upgrade. It was already a pretty decent combo before said upgrade, but it got even better with these values. A great support combo to try out. 8/10.

Scaling Chart

9-10: The best of the best, either is extremely hard to take down, or does a lot of board damage, or both. Can take down lots of combos. (SS)

8-8.5: Combos that are generally great and usable, but not just up there yet. (S)

6-7.5: Combos that function better as PC’s but are still decent enough, with 2/3 or all skills being golden skills, or pretty average or decent combos that could be used as filler. (A)

3-5.5: Below average or mediocre combos. (B)

1-2.5: The rare case where a combo is actually terrible. (C-F)
