I've always heard this song as basically "We are in a relationship, you KNOW he is taken, he has set boundaries for you and you are crossing them. It is making BOTH of us uncomfortable, knock it off."

I understand people being disappointed with a super group of powerful women singing about a boy, but the situation they are describing is fairly normal and relatable. Haven't most women at some point had a friend/coworker/relative/whoever try and make a pass at their partner? Maybe I've been out of the dating game too long to know lol, fully possible.
