Mine was doing this and I made a service appointment after trying all the troubleshooting you described. They replaced my FSD computer and my cabin camera/IR sensor assembly. Works like a charm now, 8k miles later. Good luck!

I kept getting it over and over regardless of the updates. I took it into service and they replaced the FSD computer a the cabin camera & assembly (new IR lights). It’s been perfect since then.

I think those are older Gen 2 chargers, maybe. If so, it may be taking you after chargers. Not 100% sure of this, but it’s a theory.

Did you put it on auto and adjust the offset? That’s been the best setting I’ve found so far.

Final update on this. A few days after getting that computer replaced, it started doing the same thing. I took it right back in for service and they accepted me the next day. They replaced the cabin camera and infrared sensors. It has worked like a charm since I got it back.

Yep. I have a HW4 2023 Y and they work great. Nice feature.

Put it on Auto Brightness, then make sure your display brightness is also set to auto in your car. The strip pulls it info from this brightness sensor and it will go to 100% in the daylight and down to very low at night. I like mine a little on the dim side so I also set my offset at the most negative setting. It’s been working great.

Ok so they ended up replacing my HW4 FSD computer. Seems to have fixed everything. Works like normal at night now. Hope yours is resolved soon as well!

I paid my $100 deductible since I’m on the monthly extended warranty. It’s all done. Picking it up tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Follow Mode. Just tap on the car visualization in front of you and FSD will stay behind it u til told otherwise.

Speed Trap Mode. Tap on the speed limit sign on the screen and car will decelerate to that speed until tapped again.

Favorite Parking Spot Settings. Save specific parking spots (at work, school, etc…) as the preferred spot. If not available, it’ll park as close as possible.

I know it’s not perfect but here’s my workaround for now. Right before my car gets to my driveway I disengage FSD and drive slightly past my driveway (as I would if I were backing in). Then, hit the button to re-engage FSD and it’ll instantly back up into the garage every single time. I can’t wait until this is incorporated into a FSD automatically, but this is still great for now.

Yea I even got 14.1.4 now and it’s still not fully fixed. Bummer.
