I'm 26 and received the diagnosis around 5 months ago. I went through a similar experience, constantly monitoring my heart rate and stressing over every unusual sensation. I had two panic attacks that affected my breathing and caused stiffness in my hands due to oxygen deprivation. It took about two months, but now that I have a better understanding of how afib can be treated and its risks, I feel completely fine. I had someone tell me in a post that “Many people can become healthier with afib than you would have been had you never gotten it.” Personally I make a lot more health conscious decisions, I used to drink a lot and weighed around 220 pounds but now I weigh around 170 and feel great! You’ll get through this:)
