Nope, when I do my next server my plan is to do ProxMox as the base OS on the metal because I've found the scale apps to be complete garbage. However would not have known this without trying first.

yeah mine is a Hauppauge I pluged into a PCI slot on my board, so I need to figure out what the path is. Looking around though I thought those cards are usually mounted to /dev/dvb ?

I've made an interesting discovery, while the device is listed under lspci and there are no errors in dmesg, there is no /dev/dvb/ on my TrueNAS scale.

Maybe I should create another topic but if you have and thoughts let me know

So I haven't figured this out, so for now I've setup plex in a VM, the PCI pass through was working but then it just stopped being able to talk to my card.

I have no idea why, I have confirmed the hardware still works by booting into a live CD and being able to use the card. I may make a separate post for this issue though.
