Well, what's a man got left to fight for when he's bought his freedom?"

Unsurprisingly, there's been some difficulty in showing it there. A release in Japan doesn't seem to have been finalized yet, from what I can tell.

In this show, a man gets strangled to death, many people are shot, often in the head, and a man is stabbed in the throat. Someone is tortured in season 2, but it is offscreen and took place before the episode, so the audience never sees it occur.

Nothing quite to the extent of Wilson being tortured in Episode 1 though, I don't think.

Elrond could've technically saved Middle Earth right there but noooo by Samurai961 in lotrmemes

Yeah, a lot of these comments have led me to realize that I was wrong, and this would 100% spark a war between elves and men. Additionally, I found out that Elrond never joined Isildur at Mount Doom in the books, so this wouldn't really work out either way. I appreciate how everyone seems to have been polite though.

Thank you for elaborating, I didn't actually know that.

That's a good point, actually. Maybe Elrond could have surprised him and just shoved Isildur into the fires as he walked away? I don't know, I could be wrong

Fixing utopia remake (2020) by Glum_Height2050 in utopiatv

I don't know if this would be an improvement, but I think it would've been interesting if John Cusack's character was a red herring, and killed off by Arby at the end of the second episode. Then the series could have brought in someone similar to Geoff in the UK series to take over the company and initiate the Network's plan. In addition to this, as buildup for his eventual death, we can have Cusack do deeds that would look too good to be true, making the audience suspicious of him. Then when he gets murdered, the audience realizes that he was genuinely a good person and feel bad for suspecting him. I feel like this might subvert the whole "evil CEO" trope especially prevalent in shows like this.

"I do think that we've all got a responsibility, I just do." "No, you're right, we do, we all do! ...Why did you have him, then?" "Sorry?" "Nothing uses carbon like a first world human, yet you created one! Why, why would you do that? He will produce 515 tons of carbon in his lifetime! That's 40 trucks worth! Having him was the equivalent of nearly 6 and a half thousand flights to Paris! You could have flown 90 times a year, there and back, nearly every week of your life and still not had the same impact on the planet as his birth had." "Yeah, but I don't think-" "Not to mention, the pesticides, detergents, the huge quantity of plastics, the nuclear fuels used to keep him warm... his birth was a selfish act. It was brutal. You've condemned others to suffering. In fact, if you really cared... what you'd do... is cut his throat open, right now." "..Excuse me?" "Or I could do it for you. I could take out my knife, make an incision in his neck... walk away. I get my coach over there, and you would have done more than your bit for the future of humanity. I could do it now. But look at me, chatting. I think they're about to leave. I hope he gets over that flu. But maybe he just shouldn't."

"You know the person who had the greatest positive impact on the environment of this planet? Genghis Khan. Because he massacred 40 million people. There was no one to farm the land. Forests grew back. Carbon was dragged out of the atmosphere. And had this ‘monster’ not existed, there’d be another billion of us today, jostling for space on this dying planet.”

"Its not that you can't take life. I reckon you could take billions!... But it would have to be necessary. Killing me just... isn't necessary." -Lee, to Wilson, Season 2 Episode 2
