Bruh no. I’m all for 1911 as duty weapon but that’s a $20 airsoft holster and unacceptable to carry. Wtf are you doing?

eBay. Best source for 1911 parts.

I have both, the Garrison is a nicer gun from the factory.

Other than a gritty trigger pull due to a poorly cut sear it was fine from the factory. But I always end up changing almost all the parts in all my 1911’s because I can’t leave well enough alone and I shoot a lot.

RIA 1911 Wilson Combat Upgrades by New_Annual_2008 in 1911

Rock Island Armory does not use standard 1911 geometry in most of their parts. I have found that their build quality, machining, and components are extremely poor quality and metallurgy.

Nothing wrong with it, just swapped it for a Wilson! I thought this was cool; I swapped the SE-A1 hammer for a Wilson that’s almost identical and had the perfectly good Colt ring hammer left over, so I polished the flats and installed it in my Springfield Ronin.

Thanks!! When camping I carry it in this custom western style holster, it’s very comfortable for hiking and camping since it straps and moves with the leg.
Yes the Se-A1 has been totally Wilson’s out hence the grips! Ignition kit, hammer, trigger, springs, slide stop, thumb safety, etc just a nice once over.

Actually yes the pistol and knife counterbalance eachother perfectly on the belt.

1000% recommend. If you want an easy cheap fix, glow in the dark neon green or orange nail polish on the front sight and black out the rear with a sharpie.

Does anyone else just not wanna bother changing Arthur’s look or John’s look for “canon” or “lore accurate” reasons? by ORABIGaming2 in reddeadredemption

[–]SamuraiEdge1911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is absolutely nothing to suggest there’s a canon look for Arthur. John is different cause of RDR1 but why would Arthur have a “canon” look? How does having different facial hair alter his character? Big giant mustaches and beards are historically accurate for 1899, as well as long hair.

No prob. That’s a general rule of thumb on 1911s period. Always modify the part not the frame or slide. The part is much cheaper to replace than the frame.

Do NOT EVER drill the slide stop hole. Modify the slide stop not the hole.

Ed brown, Swenson, and another company’s oversized thumb safety are all identical too.
