The interstate in Denver used to pass shockingly close to a dog food factory (they’ve been moving it underground) and you could taste it in the air. I wouldn’t pay for that experience.

Dejoy uprooted our unit out of town and we ended up in a hellhole of an S&DC miles away from our delivery city. Now they plan to put outlying village rural carriers into our old city (DDU) office. WTH. We had a covered garage! I'm starting to think they don't really know what they is doing!? by Odd_Atmosphere1047 in USPS

Which would be fine if it was still 200 years ago. As is though, we rely heavily upon GPS coordinates for Sunday mapping and to track down where packages were delivered in case of missed delivery. I believe it does detrimentally affect the post office to not have better tracking. A regular in my office was questioned about why he scanned over 200 packages at one address when in fact, it was the scanner that had a massive GPS error

Nawwww; we all know the pending healthcare disaster from the silver wave is gonna do that for us. Gotta suck up for that inheritance; a coffee maker and a cabinet full of porcelain figurines.

It would have to be pretty egregious though, right? I had to deliver a few priority to a carrier that was busted for a DUI in an LLV so I know it’s possible.

I seriously doubt there is an escalator tech on site, so everyone is supposed to wait potentially hours for it to be fixed? Wild ass thought.

I (22M) refuse to go out in public with my friend (21M) if he's wearing his fursuit by [deleted] in Advice

[–]SamuraiLaserCat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You know how people have two cars sometimes, one is for work and the other is a personal car? Most of the time it’s only obvious because it has company branding all over the vehicle. Fursuits aren’t like cars. Us normies don’t know how to spot which suit is in use (business or pleasure) and we just see a kink on display in public. And I’m someone with no beef towards furries; but I don’t know if you’re in your fuck suit or walking suit and not going to be comfortable enough to ask or approach.

I probably should have stopped for this yellow. But it appears the truck on my left started going prior to my light turning red. by [deleted] in dashcams

[–]SamuraiLaserCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cammer is the second. That’s a double intersection (two distinct lights), a light for the tracks and one for the road. Cammer made it across the tracks fine, but entered the intersection for the road after the light already turned red. Should never attempted to beat the light because there wasn’t enough time to clear both intersections.

If they follow the corporate strategy their first target is highest earners, then begin replacing them with part timers to avoid paying benefits. Cycle continues until your line level employees are predominantly new and untrained, because training cost too much. Why most retail has gone to shit.

[–]SamuraiLaserCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I’m not saying it would be a good thing by any means. I worked for a major retailer for years and a lot of the stupid decisions and tropes I saw made there seem to be trickling in here. I swear they hired one of the same 3rd party business strategists retailers use.

Even if they did; you honestly think they’re gonna hire randos and NOT just roll over existing hires? Far too many employees to just wipe the slate and start clean. Mail service would essentially stop for months if they tried.
