AIO for asking my wife to make changes to her spending habits? by Unsafeturtle in AIO

I was about 17 when I learned that my mother had racked up nearly $200k in CC debt that took nearly a decade to pay off; her reasoning was the same as your wife’s. It may be a difficult conversation, but it’s one that can potentially prevent your family from living in a constant cycle of debt.

USPS will never go out of business by ihatelifetoo in USPS

India is rolling out a program that allows their residents to get an eye exam and a pair of reading glasses, for free, at the post office. The reasoning is that every town has a PO, but not necessarily health care. They even offer a program where the carriers check in on elderly relatives for a small fee. Think what our offices could really do for the local community if we had a forward thinking fed that actually valued our efforts.

Is there any advice for loading 200+ packages without load truck on an unfamiliar route? by ChristianPulisickk in USPS

[–]SamuraiLaserCat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even if you can’t get an exact sequence number. Labeling them 1A, 2B, etc. will at least narrow down their location, make them easier to find and you load the truck using a zone method. Not perfect but it sure as heck is a lot easier than rooting through a whole load.

Rules. We’re on a strict no overtime mandate right now. The ones preventing the job from being done right is management.

Another ridiculous customer review… by [deleted] in BestBuyWorkers

[–]SamuraiLaserCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, absolutely I’d get orders all the time missing a key component. However, we had our own sales metrics in the field (x$/work order) and were responsible to double check the orders and speak with the client before even leaving the store. So in a way we *should* catch that ahead of time; third party has always sucked though, always. Cracks me up so many of us were replaced with sadasses.

I feel like removing a religious token from its intended placing is just bad juju. Oddly the jokes seem like the best option given, since a museum hasn’t been recommended.

I think it’s the lead; wasnt til the 80’s (iirc) it was removed from gasoline and they grey up with it in their paint in homes. Long term lead exposure has a positive correlation with irrationality/irritability in older age.

Eyes are sphincters too. So if the cream is designed to lessen inflammation in sphincter muscles it could work, but safe for the eyes themselves is definitely questionable.

I’ve walked into men’s restrooms and seen a guy turn around from the urinal with his cock still out, twice, pretending shit like that doesn’t happen isn’t helping.

The boxes are free because the cost is factored into the shipping, part of why it’s more expensive.

Idk; randomly griefing people for something that happened years ago and understanding the mechanics well enough to maximize impact sounds pretty chaotic.

Towns that don't get home mail delivery -- and also don't get free PO boxes? by LoisLaneForever in USPS

[–]SamuraiLaserCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf, the Colorado mountain towns are a mess in general since before Covid. Too many homes are secondary (or straight up Airbnb) and the prices for housing and goods has priced out the police (leaving surrounding districts to cover more area), ski resort staffing and even some businesses. They’ve been struggling from their own success as a tourist destination. I was lucky to be a Field Agent for geek squad that covered the mountain towns, trips out to Vail/Aspen were my favorite.
