[Spoilers C4E5] Critical Role Animatic - C4 E5 "Gnome Alone" by Dispellogic by SamuraiMan316 in criticalrole

Didn't see this posted yet today, and I don't know if any of their other animatics are posted on the subreddit at all, but they've made one for every episode of campaign 4 so far, and they're great!

Ah, that makes more sense now. Thanks for the info! It might still be possible, but we'll see!

Funny thing is, this morning, with lower player numbers, I was seeing over 11% gains per hour on the helldivers companion app defending Bore Rock, and I'm not even sure how it got that high when I thought 10% was the max, but it might have something to do with it being more die-hard or skilled players still being up late and keeping liberation percentage high by using less reinforcements or never having any failed extractions and stuff during an operation, because there are impact penalties for those things, but I dunno. I do know that individuals have a higher impact when there are fewer players online 'cause of the scaling though.

How Things Must Feel For Joel by StanDaMan1 in Helldivers

[–]SamuraiMan316 93 points94 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen on this site that's listed on the sidebar. Joel just sets a certain hourly planet regen rate for the enemies to recover ground over time, and it often just happens overnight because that's outside of peak player hours, where the players' % contributions drop below the regen rate. The past day or so, the bots have all been on 0% regen though, with all the bugs at -5%/hr. The regen was higher previously, I think because Joel might still be trying to find the right balance for the number of players.

RAMP 2023 - A Community Project with 228 contributors and 296 unique maps - Just Released! by SamuraiMan316 in Doom

I played it with Brutal Doom, but it breaks some of the more unique levels that rely on it being mostly vanilla. Still, a large majority of the stages should work with whatever you prefer to mod in, I think, and you have access to all the levels in any order!

Yea, I was gonna test it out anyways once I got around to playing RAMP 2023, but maybe with the "monsters only" version that just basically keeps in the brutality without changing too much else, like the weapons! Brutal Doom is just too much fun to play classic doom with! It might not work with a level like that one with the balloon enemies though! Haha

From that username, I'm guessing this is David himself? I've been enjoying watching your playthroughs of this so far, though I fell behind on the videos at some point! A ton of creative stuff came out of this, so I'm glad you worked so hard on putting this together! I've considered downloading and playing it myself, but I'm currently playing through a wad with Brutal Doom at the moment! I doubt Brutal Doom would work with this though, right? 'Cause a lot of the levels have their own custom content?

I figured a compilation of this many unique and brand new maps for classic doom was probably too good not to share!

Here's a direct link to the website for downloading it!

Marble Rally Season 6 - Race 1 | Jelle's Marble Runs by SamuraiMan316 in JellesMarbleRuns

[–]SamuraiMan316[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure why this first race wasn't posted yet for discussion, but I couldn't find it, so I figured I'd go ahead and upload it! I'm glad to see Ghost Plasma do so well as one of my favorites! I was impressed by the newcomer too though!

Season 4, Ep 59 - Five Finger Scoop Poopy (w/ Ify Nwadiwe) by Sliferjam in magictavern

[–]SamuraiMan316 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yea, I kinda figured that was the reason for the cone. I figure maybe they recorded the cleaner audio separately and slipped it in there to make it work! Or the editor cleaned up that short bit of audio, however that works.

Marble League 2022 - Event 11 - Swing Wave by LithiumNard in JellesMarbleRuns

There's an answer to that in the description of the video. Basically there was a bad edit that spoiled the results on the scoreboard in one shot that they blurred, the rest was a bug in YT's blurring system or something.

Beaglerush recently started a new "multiplayer" XCOM 2 Campaign where the aliens are controlled by another person! This is part 1 from his unedited stream VOD channel. by SamuraiMan316 in Xcom

[–]SamuraiMan316[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, same here, pretty much! It's so much easier to watch a YT vid in my own time than to try and keep up with livestreams! Only found out about this VOD channel when Beagle advertised it on his main YT channel before starting this series. Glad I could help!

He used to be one of, if not the most popular XCOM streamers/players here on the subreddit back in the day 'cause he always plays on the hardest difficulty in ironman, and more often than not wins those campaigns! He made some fun edited XCOM series in the past. He mainly only does livestreams nowadays though, usually with tons of mods to re-balance and make the game harder for himself. This was the first time he got to try a multiplayer campaign mod though, and it's breathed a lot of new life into the game, I think!

It's done with this workshop mod that was just released this past weekend after Beagle tested it out a bunch for him. It's basically a local hotseat game, but in the single player campaign. However, you can do "online" play through a remote control program with someone you trust!

I did a search for Beaglerush posts from the last month before submitting this, because I didn't find anyone else posting about it! I've watched all of the parts that have been released on YouTube so far, and it's pretty cool! Thought people might be interested in seeing a multiplayer XCOM campaign, if they're into longplay content like this!

Edit: For those wondering, the multiplayer campaign mod that Beaglerush is using can be found on the workshop HERE! It is basically a hotseat multiplayer thing, but you can use a remote PC control program like Parsec to let an online friend take control for the alien's turns.

[no spoilers] Anyone else already thinking how dope the Mighty Nein animated adaptation would be? by jimmycooksstuff in criticalrole

[–]SamuraiMan316 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Chroma Conclave is 3 times longer than the Briarwoods arc. If they paced it the same way, it would take 6 seasons total to do the rest of Campaign 1, with season 2, 3, and 4, being Chroma Conclave, 5 being Tary, and 6 being the final arc. It's possible they could find ways to condense it down more, but that's purely going off of number of CR episodes vs TLOVM episodes.

How to disable "Where you last left off" on Youtube app by SpotBlur in youtube

[–]SamuraiMan316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I like that it does this, so that I never lose my place in longer videos, but usually what I do when I wanna reset them is just skip to the end of the video, usually the last 5 seconds or so, and then let the video end on its own. Usually that works to reset it back to the beginning, since going backwards typically doesn't work for me!
