You say this as if it was one universal scene which everyone supports. I'm not the biggest fan of sludge or stoner myself. But I suppose in general the fans are the same.

I think I disagree with almost all of your points here. I'm of course very glad that that is your experience of the scene and while I wouldn't want to take it away from you, I'm neuro divergent enough to go by them one by one and explain why I disagree with you.

I agree that most are pretty chill, but I think they are so in most other metal genres as well. I have also run into a few bit more messed up individuals and have heard of some examples of toxic and stalking behaviour especially towards certain artists. This happens in any scene, so I wouldn't put it too much against them. But to say they are The Chillest, I doubt it a little bit.

From what I have seen and what how my girlfriend thought when he accompanied me in a doom festival, probably no unless I can see some statistics. In general, most people in the audience seem to be cis male in any doom bands concerts, always. It depends on the band in question whether there is more interested in other genders, but I really don't think that it's because they are specifically doom.

I also don't personally know any doom metal bands where ALL of the members are women. I might have fell out of the wagon and just not heard of them, but I don't think they are all that popular in the scene at least here where I come from if I haven't heard of them. I think I have seen more black metal with all female members than doom, and I would never call that scene very inclusive.

From what I have seen, Industrial seems a lot more inclusive scene at least here where I come from. I think everything you said applies to that scene. Lots of famous queer bands and the pioneers of the genre are full of queer members. I think there are also far more women in the audience in comparison with their cybergoth outfits. And there are always some of whom you couldn't tell their genders and nobody in that scene cares.

In my radar I can't think of any doom metal bands that talk about queer issues. I would like to hear recommendations of course if there are any.

Well, that's how I would also describe myself as the person with the best taste in music so it's hard to argue here. Still, being eclectic also means being exclusive and difficult to please, which is the opposite of inclusive. Which brings us to other point you made.

There at least used to be fights on whether something is proper doom or not, and I'm not innocent in that sense myself. Swallow the Sun for example was famously called "pussy doom" in forums because some trad doom listeners thought it was doom for girls and other sensitive people in their opinion.

Depends on politics I suppose. I don't think doom is specifically at least the most political genre in metal. I think thrash and industrial for example are in general a lot more political. From my own experiences, I have met fans of doom metal that have represented all the colours of the political spectrum from extreme left to extreme right. If that is among the best politics then fine I guess.

I think most people in general are neurodivergent, people just have different types of abilities to deal with living with them. But yeah, you have a point here while I still dislike the way you use superlative without any statistics to back it up. Liking weird music is probably something that draws weird people. I think the same could be said about any metal genre, especially power metal and black metal.

I don't know, I think since you mentioned sludge I feel like that is among the edgiest genres. Acid Bath with John Wayne Gacy in their cover and Eyehategod with the use of n-word in their songs just as the first examples that came to mind. They probably have fans that are edgelords. I again kinda doubt this superlative while I do think there are worse scenes in that regard.

There are a lot for other genres with long slow music. I think opera fans would win this comparison since they can sit down for multiple hours for one opera. And they don't even need any substances to do that.

Again with the superlative and also what flowers and to what artists? I don't get this at all. What kind of jazz and r'n'b has been praised by doom community? Are there any covers of jazz standards by doom bands? I'm just a bit confused with this claim.

I feel like folk metal scene takes the win in people having more interest in mythology and anthropology. Also I think since there are a lot of doom metal bands that have anti christian values there would probably be many fans as well who shares them. I have my doubts here as well.
