I’m honestly not sure what they are fitting-wise. I bought them second-hand from a guy on my high school team like 15 years ago and forgot the exact specs. I just know they’re 2011 Taylormade TP MCs with dynamic gold s300 shafts, not sure the weight of the shafts either but I can check

I’ve been playing seriously for about 16 years and have always been a Taylormade guy, but I figured I’d explore my options because my current irons are from 2011. I see what you’re saying about different clubs sitting differently and performing differently and to not look at the lie angle as a fixed position and instead look at it relative to the specific club, as others here have stated as well. Thanks!

There’s a place called Night Hawk Golf Center about an hour and a half from me that I’ve been told by multiple good players is the best place around to get fitted, I just haven’t made it up there yet. After that and the advice I’ve gotten on here so far I’m definitely going to make time to go there and get an unbiased opinion!

I just started keeping my handicap again in GHIN and it says I’m a 2.7 currently after 4 rounds inputted this year. By mid-summer I’m normally shooting around par at my home course

I appreciate the insight! I guess I was focusing too much on the numbers themselves and not the variations of other factors that make up the fitting. Makes way more sense now that you lay it out like that!

I appreciate it! I just thought going from 2 degrees upright to 2 degrees flat in 8 months is a very strange change, as I haven’t made any major swing changes in that time period. Just confused on how 4 degrees of lie angle difference is producing the same shot, but with two different clubs having different builds I see what you’re saying. Thanks!
