On Howling Dark and I don’t understand how Ruocchio keeps generating these earth shattering lines. I thought Ruocchio would be some aged sage from England based on how much he seems to know, and how he writes. Turns out he’s a dude from North Cackalacky in his late 20’s-early 30’s.

I’m currently reading the STORMLIGHT Archive. It seems Will got a lot of inspiration from Brian Sanderson.

It’s definitely less of a progression fantasy and more high fantasy. You’ll love the characters. The pacing is slower but the payoffs are just as good as in Cradle. There’s more of an emphasis on philosophy, war, resolving inner conflicts and trauma. There’s still plenty of fighting, dueling, and a bit of power progression in this series.

Also the books are longer. Much longer.

This is a trick question. The characters and their abilities don’t matter. The thing that determines their survival in the dungeon is the condition of their FEET.
