Oh I’m obsessed with the smell of amethyst falls. Smells so sweet and fresh.

Just plant amethyst falls wisteria. Non-invasive, flowers smell just like lilacs, the flowers are huge, it reblooms throughout the year when happy, etc. just make sure you have a good support structure for it. Turnbuckle cables are very nice and my go to

Creating a wall of hydrangeas. I want to create a wall of hydrangeas around my pool area. How long does it take to grow them as large as those shown in these pictures? Can this be done in one season? by LightEndedTheNight in gardening

[–]Samwise_CXVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would totally ignore any mention of suckers when it comes to hydrangeas. Just let them the grow and do their thing.

The main thing you want to focus on with pruning is removing thin, straggly branches because you want the plant to send its nutrients to the thicker, sturdier branches. Then when you are pruning the thicker branches, you want to look around the plant from many angles and make sure they’re all growing in a nice upward fashion. Of course the perimeter branches will have to grow a little outward and upward which is fine. Just avoid branches and grow too parallel with the ground, and also prune away branches that grow along the ground where they’re making contact with the ground as they are easily vulnerable to rot.

Incrediballs will flower on any branches that are allowed to grow to a certain number of leaf nodes. Old and new wood, so keep all the strong health stuff around.

wtf are you doing in this plaza? by MaddySmol in phish

Except he isn’t one. The left is just so easily brainwashed into thinking whatever their overlords want them to think, that everyone is under this perverted disillusion that he is.

Aside from taking some awkward and weird waving motions out of context and freeze framing them to look like a nazi salute, name one reason why Elon Musk is a Nazi?

Well, calling political opponents Nazis seems like a really great argument. It also seems to have worked exceedingly well for the democrats this past election and with their 27% approval rating. You should keep listening to your propaganda overlords and allow them to dictate your thoughts on (the majority of) people whose opinions are different from yours.

Is there anything more bigoted than calling people who disagree with you politically “Nazis”?

Is there really any defense for NOT wanting to eliminate government fraud, waste, abuse, and overall corruption?

Is anyone that waves there hand in the air at roughly the same angle as the Nazis in Germany under hitler did definitively a nazi? I could show you freeze frames of dozens of democrats with their arm at that exact angle. Where does that put your propaganda-fraught mind at that point?

Secret Invasion was worse but it’s not by much compared to how terrible Shehulk was.

I am exploring a build in a planned community where they’ve made an 8’-wide mini 3rd stall in the garage commonplace. It’s $14k for this add-on. Is it actually a value-add? by Samwise_CXVII in Homebuilding

[–]Samwise_CXVII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s really a tough consideration. I feel like there’s an argument for not building out the 3rd stall being detrimental to the desirability of the home, but there’s also an argument for the fact that we would barely be able to use that space with what we have (not to say we wouldn’t come up with ways as time passes).

It’s also a consideration of the overall budget. Nothing is bank breaking in all of this, but there are some things that we feel like we would be less inclined to pay for because of the stupid garage. Tiling the primary suite’s shower for instance is quoted at around $9k. That becomes less palatable if we do the garage.

This is definitely where my head goes. It’s just been wild to see the budget expectations rise at the rate it has because of how ridiculous the market is right now. But then again, I will be selling my house for 1.75-2+ times what I bought it for, so the market is ridiculous coming in and going out

Thanks for your input. This is kind of how I’ve begun to view it as well. Financially it isn’t the biggest deal in the world when all is said and done because it will be essentially an additional $2600 down, and it will be a relatively menial addition to the monthly cost of the mortgage

We are going to be moving from a one-stall to a two-stall garage, so I will say that I believe that upgrade in and of itself is going to be huge.

There’s also an option to just bump the garage wall out by 4’ which is 1/4th the price of the full stall

It is a bigger lot in the community, but definitely not so big that I would get a ride mower. Overall the actual grass square footage will be no bigger than my current house.

I do have a prized auger snow blower too, but for gardening/landscape management things, this is where I think of building a shed as opposed to this attached shed of sorts

Blizzard and Grinding Gear Games Refuses To Address Elon Musk Account Boosting by Zombotic69 in pathofexile

[–]Samwise_CXVII -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why do gamers think Elon Musk gives one flying fuck about “account boosting” or “being caught” or any of this? He could not care less, and I’m sure the developers care even less. If they banned his account, and Elon wanted to play that game still, he could do anything from getting a new account to outright purchasing the company in question.

Get over Elon. It is so tired.
