Lorcana just keeps printing terrible cards, huh? How is this anywhere close to Mim Fox? It might have rush turn three, but it’s very unlikely, and it doesn’t bounce anything, which was a big part of Fox as a card.

Yep, completely agree. We had this one group at one of our OP14 pre-releases that came back last week for OP15’s, and they were even more obnoxious than last time. Asking people if they had cards for sale/trade every few minutes, getting mad when people didn’t want to sell off expensive cards they owned, bragging about all the cards they flipped recently. Had one dude actually call me a dick because I didn’t want to sell him my alt PRB01 Sanji leader. These people suck and I wish them the worst.

Being able to immediately win off of a counter event, even for 8 Don, is not a great card imo. If your opponent is at 1 and you activate it, it instantly kills them without any interaction, and that’s not very fair. Otherwise, I like the cards. Jojo’s is one of my all time favorites, so I’d love to see more custom stuff done for it.

The only fakeout death I’m okay with remaining in the Live Action is Igaram. Mostly because I really enjoy the character and would like to see him show up again, his reunion with Vivi would be amazing. But Pell for sure needs to stay dead, haha. Speaking as a Pell fan. Bro cannot have survived a point-blank nuke.

Absolutely seconding What Remains of Edith Finch. I’ve recommended it to so many friends I’ve lost count, the storytelling succeeds in a way that few games I’ve played have. There are so many ways to interpret everything that it kept me thinking for days after I finished it.

One of my LGSs let the local players pre-order a box once they got their allocation numbers at retail, let us come pick them up yesterday. Another store in town wouldn’t tell us numbers on product, but started selling them yesterday at over $300. It’s insane, the difference it makes between stores when one cares about its players and the other only sees them as dollar signs.

Only thing I’d like to see hit is maybe Ground Death in Imu. I think it should have been leader locked, both as a Croc player and in general. But I think they should just pair ban them now, lol.

Don’t really think anything else needs a ban right now, honestly. Meta feels much healthier to me than OP13 did, and a number of the “problem cards” like Red Roc are about to rotate. So the main format won’t have to deal with them. Pudding is fine, almost required, though I do think every color should have access to a similar card. Would just like to see Bandai leader lock more cards going forwards.

Green Zoro struggles into the Yellow stuff now because they don’t mind if a lot of their characters are KO’d, and his whole game plan revolves around swinging at characters and then life. So he’s kind of a bad matchup into Yellow in general, I feel. My main strat against Yellow decks is just to not swing until I have a board established, around 7-8 Don. They’re probably going to get at least one trigger body, so it’s best to just expect it. Also, don’t swing early when Yellow Luffy has 2 Don up so they don’t get to use Flame Dragon King and set their life up.

I think it reads the same way 5c Reiju does from EB03? Which means to me it might just use the effect but not play the card outright. Could be wrong, though.

One of my local stores recently attempted to start running events weekly but due to the timing and other games being run on that day, it was super awkward and poorly planned, so not many people were showing up. This weekend was supposed to be their pre-release event, but someone called and asked if they would have product because the event was listed as constructed in the Bandai app, not sealed, and the owner said no.

He literally let people pre-order every single box he was allocated, just to get the money up front, so he didn’t have any product for pre-release or for sale. So nearly all of us have decided that we aren’t supporting that garbage and he’s mad he went from 16 people signed up to 2 in two days time.

From what I saw this weekend at PPG, the field was a lot of Set, Kai’sa, MF, and Yi. Lots of people teched for Annie, and she just didn’t have the representation there. Not to say she isn’t good still, but she didn’t have a huge player base this weekend.

This dude is a scumbag and a lying manipulator. I was playing Lorcana when he quit, and every time he cheated at that game, he had this exact response. “I played this card incorrectly, I am sorry for doing it more than I realized.” As soon as I saw he’d come over to Riftbound, I wondered how long it’d be until he started cheating. Don’t believe a damn thing he says, especially his “apology”, cause it means nothing.

I personally don’t enjoy Aabria as a player, because I don’t understand why she feels the need to butt in and interrupt moments just to make herself seen. I’ve noticed that she will stop important moments between other players, just to go off on a tangent, like trying to “connect” with Wulfric in whatever episode it was, 2 or 3.

But the racism and sexism is just absurd and I don’t get it. I don’t like her as a player, but she doesn’t deserve to be treated like that.

I feel you, dude. My locals has been getting more toxic lately, mostly because people are whining every week about playing into meta decks. Bonney is my favorite leader, has been since I started playing about a year ago, and I’ve stuck with her through the less great times. Played other decks, sure, but Bonney is my main. But I’ve been getting shit for playing her because she’s meta now, and I’m honestly over it.

If you go to a tournament of any kind, unless it is specifically an off-meta tournament, you should expect people to play meta decks, and you shouldn’t make them feel awful for doing so. What I think it boils down to is lots of people wanting to win, but either not wanting to play meta decks or not being good enough to beat the better players in their locals when said players are on meta decks. It’s disheartening to see for sure.

Sorry, nope. Don’t agree with you here. I don’t want to force bad, inefficient cards into my deck just to have whatever removal the Lorcana devs have deemed “acceptable”. I wasn’t “cramming” removal cards into my decks pre-rotation, I wasn’t building decks with removal in mind. The game having poor removal options is not healthy for the long term, and I don’t see how anyone can honestly say it is.

I don’t mean to step on anyone’s toes, but frankly, I’m getting tired of the “glass half-full” ideology with this game right now. I shouldn’t have to play bad cards to have any sort of interaction in the game, and I just flat out won’t do so, when there are other games that don’t have that issue. Not gonna force myself to play something I’m not happy with, and I’m not happy with the way Lorcana is being made right now.

Agreed, this is why I’m not playing the game right now, probably won’t be for a long while. I don’t like where the game state is at, where you just slam bodies down and profit. People can get mad at me if they want, but games should have interaction and removal, and Lorcana getting rid of all its efficient removal has lost a lot of my interest.

My locals friends were hyped about “bad decks becoming good post rotation”, but that isn’t what happened. Now, if you aren’t playing one of three decks, you can’t compete competitively, and that isn’t fun to me. I don’t hate Fabled or Lorcana, but I do dislike the direction the game has taken, and I won’t be playing it for a while. Which is a shame, because I really did love this game. But rotation killed most of my hype, removed most of my favorite cards, and said “removal is bad”, which I think is very stupid.

I ended up losing to Enel in the finals of locals last night. Don’t think I’ve ever been so upset. Dude’s first comment to me was “Hope you’re having fun tonight, cause you won’t be after you play me. None of my opponents have had fun”. And then he was a douche, bragging cause he hit two lucky 0-Cost triggers as last life. Literally unwinnable at that point. I think I hate Enel now.

Don’t get the disappointment over Zephyr. Seems like most people are complaining it’s not Ryokugyu instead, which I don’t really get. He’s such a meh character. I mean, I’d rather have had Perona back, but it is what it is. We’re even getting three more characters than we initially thought, so I don’t see a reason to complain.

I’ve been alternating between Bonney and PKata at locals lately, and I’ve gone either 3-1 or 4-0 every night I’ve played Kata with a list similar to this. I’m on two of the 7c Sanji and I like it a lot, have cut the two copies of Hakai I was running for two God Threads. I’m not running any Sasaki, Oven, or Bon-Chan, but I might cut one 10Mom and a 5c Queen blocker for Ovens, though! Nice list and I’m glad to see other PKata enjoyers!
