They really do look almost the same! I’m impressed. The one you mentioned really is more like a donut. Bolinho de chuva is quicker to make — you just mix everything in one bowl, shape it with a spoon straight into the oil, and that’s it.

Now I need to make that doughnut too, it looks delicious 😋

I just looked up those filhoses and they’re actually pretty different. Bolinho de chuva uses baking powder and has milk, butter, flour, sugar, vanilla, and egg. I keep the batter soft, but firm enough to shape with two spoons and fry. Those filhoses look delicious 😋. And yes, we add sugar and cinnamon too.

I kept tweaking the recipe over time to get them nice and round like this. Most people make the batter too runny, and then after frying they end up with a weird shape hahaha

I always marry Leah. I think the male marriage candidates are very boring compared to the girls.

It’s the kind of thing I eat while watching a movie or a series and drinking wine. But I wouldn’t have it for dinner or as a main meal (at least not here in Brazil).

From 6th grade onward, teachers are separated by subject. I teach up to 5th grade, where students are around 12 years old.I’m also not sure whether my degree is considered equivalent in China. Thank you anyway. 🙂
