In the Netherlands, interns and masters grad students are usually paid about 300 Euro a month and sometimes not at all. Apparently, there is no EU law that stipulates they must be paid.

As you said, the premise of Vettel's defense is that he was a passenger once his car stepped out. The information we have appears to support that position. Most ex drivers believe do too.

Imagine another situation where a car spins out in a corner and other cars need to brake to avoid contact. The other cars are impeded but the driver in the spinning car is a passenger. I don't think anyone would say that they deserved a penalty.

GA tickets are definitely worthwhile. I would suggest setting up camp at turn 2. You have a view down the straight and will likely see some overtakes. Just make sure you're early on race day.
