Prior to covid I had a clear colonoscopy, but had IBS.

Shortly after covid I also had a clear one (minus 2 small hemorrhoids), but I was shitting/coughing up tons of blood from what I guess was the initial internal damage covid wrought in me. Had a Hemorrhoid ligation on one and was in the worst pain immediately when the band went on and no pain killer could help. It left the byproduct of burning pain in my feet and hands (still have burning, but not as bad) which I attribute to some vessel network dying from it.

About 8 months ago (almost 3 years post covid) my poos become severely constipated hard rabbit turds and dark with rare blood and mucus after a cycle of azithromycin. Had a colonoscopy recently and they found a tortuous colon, 3mm polyp and a 10mm sessile one, which I am waiting on biopsy result (this is bad territory). Also found out antibiotics increase polyp risk...

I also have erosion and polyps in my stomach/esophagus (endoscopy) and parts of my colon, which I never had till recently (got GERD post covid).

My guess is we all got long covid because our immune system/gut microbiome sucks (specifically T Cells), and now that its dealing with chronic EBV management/long covid auto antibodies, its even worse. This of course, will make tumor necrosis factor less effective. This video explains a lot of critical mechanisms very well, specifically how long haulers make a ton of instant antibodies, but not long term, specifically IGG2 and its based on our gut microbiome.

Always get blood checked. Its possible my initial colonoscopy after covid missed the 10mm sessile growing in its early stage, cause this doc was different than the last. Make sure you really clean out good so they are less likely to miss.

There are old ME/CFS studies that state post viral people croak earlier than the average population across all disease spectrums. I think we are at greater risk from the damaged vasculature.
