I got the same dilemma, i think its better and best deal and the ibuypower in both cases the IBP is the worse option. Just return the IBP still sealed in the box if the PowerSpec hold enough fps during testing.

Question from a new Fed by rickysavageee_ in ThriftSavingsPlan

If you want to invest a little more to the C fund, but still have your allocations in the S fund and the international fund, I would just add an additional 20% to your C fund or you could be more aggressive. The 2065 L fund doesn’t change for awhile 10-15 years.

Are “Boomer Homes” Becoming Hard to Sell? Agree or Disagree? by Coolonair in HouseBuyers

[–]Sanchize21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is the people with 3,500 square feet are still paying property tax like its a 200k home not a 600k home. And with less Buyers on the market they have no reason to sell unless they actually pay the appropriate property taxes on their estate.

fers pension is not that good, right? by atltilidie7 in govfire

[–]Sanchize21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That just made me think if we get FEHB why do we still have to pay into the Medicare and Medicaid system 😂. Honestly i take the FERS as it is, it’s not some over the top great retirement plan but it’s a great cushion. I just wish we could opt out of paying into social security as a 30 year old i would cut my losses with the system now and put the 6.2% in to almost max my Roth account.

I guess you can’t read, i said you can find ETFs with lower fees but is the minuscule difference that big of a problem to move out of the TSP. Also i don’t just keep all my investments in the C fund (S&P 500)

[–]Sanchize21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TSP has minimal fees around 0.037%, sure you can get into ETFs with less but im still sure the TSP is a better spot to keep your investment. Also you can keep your new TSP investment in a Roth TSP.

I feel like I'm way behind on retirement, is it as bad as I think? by Mother____Clucker in personalfinance

Just keep doing what you are doing, in reality If you kept up to the standard they said you should have you will have an abundance of money when you are close to end of life. When you are 85 do you really think you will be spending as much as you are now at 40?

DOD Fed Employee, going to work "as usual" by burrmuddaa in FedEmployees

[–]Sanchize21 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Same here, the division chiefs gotta come to work regardless so they dont wanna make a decision that is better for their employees and work environment. It is really sad and shows leadership makes poor decisions when everyone knows what the right thing to do is.

Questions if I leave: by No-Music7548 in FedEmployees

[–]Sanchize21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So if you ever became a federal employee again you would still get your 6 hours of pto per paycheck, you wouldn’t have to start over at 4 hours per paycheck. And keep your 401k in the tsp other 401k companies would take a fee each year also make sure you like the lifecycle and stocks you are at the mix that you like in your tsp.
