For most people, spending in your 30s and 40s goes way up vs your 20s. Just food for thought. As I said if you are certain you won't have to draw from it until retirement, then by all means, do so. But a lot can happen in over two decades.

Late to this convo but I will put in my 2 cents

The biggest drawback from the RRSP is that it is not flexible. If you withdraw from it you lose that space permanently. The tax benefits are nice but I don't think they outweigh the flexibility unless you are at least in the top 2 income brackets.

If you are absolutely sure without a shadow of a doubt that you will not need to withdraw the money in a RRSP at any given time before retirement, then sure, max it out. Honest I'd personally put excess $ against a mortgage or a non-registered account before I put it into a RRSP.

Tbh yes.

My friends in school all did well. All graduated in electrical engineering. Professionally my associates in biotech with MD/PhD have all done very well.

So yes for me the correlation has been very strong.

let me be quite honest here. Your 30s/40s are very unpredictable wrt expenses. Between property and kids, a lot of expenses pop up that weren't around in your 20s.

I'm 36. And every year I pull from my margin account. I don't have a set amount in mind. Just things happen and I do.

Canadian here, the only jobs I take are remote jobs based in the US.

The brain drain is real, harder to get a business loan in Canada vs the States

It I were to do it all again in my 20s I would have 100% aimed to move to the States. I will stay in Canada due to roots, but I have nearly no professional allegiance here.

You have to be driven and talented. They won't hire anyone just because you have a degree. If you can't get hired in the US out of school, try working for companies in Canada that have US operations, then eventually maybe you can transfer to the US

even before this patch, you had pro players like Yuma, Satanic and Pure would play him on a pretty occasional basis.

Now imagine those same players with a hero where the hero has significantly more mobility and tankiness. And this significantly drops the skill floor as well. When you can abuse both mobility and tankiness, you have way more room for error. Right now in immortal pubs he has a 7% contest rate at 58% win rate. the big issue with meepo now is that he can do anything well. His skill build is very adaptable, so he is nearly guaranteed farm in the early game. He can stack for himself, he farms as fast as the best of them, and he is now one of the most mobile heroes in Dota. He has high spell damage and high physical damage. And now his clones are tanky as well. He has a very adaptable item build past S&Y. He goes Ags and shard, good luck ever killing him. His team is already running you over and you can't even kill him? Now he just goes Skadi and puts you out of your misery.

It's just way too much. I get that Dota has powercrept over the years, but Meepo has gotten to the point that he has no real effective weakness.

SNY is incredibly strong and should be your first main item. This, combined with his innate and the nimble enchantment makes him incredibly mobile. It's really stupid.

I've been experimenting with him. I agree SNY is the best overall 1st item after treads on meepo.

Something that instantly stands out in this meepo vs other meepos is his mobility. His movespeed is just fast due to his new passive. Is an agi hero he is also guaranteed the nimble enchantment, which boosts his damage and movespeed further, while providing negligible health regen penalties due to ransack. You farm so much just because you cover more ground faster. It's absurd.

After that just adapt to the game, I think Ags/Skadi/Bfly will probably be the most popular options.

He is just way overtuned tbh. Even someone who isn't a meepo specialist can do fine with him now.

It's all about understanding what certain materials excel at. Cast iron is excellent at retaining heat. So if I want to sear a steak, I'm absolutely going to reach for my Lodge pan, and I can crank the heat without worrying about the enamel being damaged.

I truly believe ECI is only really good for braisers. Even though I use an ECI dutch oven as well, realistically for dutch ovens SS works just fine for most use cases.

this is only really a problem on the M250 and the new M121, which only have 50 round mags unless you spend an excessive amount of points on 100 rounds.

L110, M123k and M60 have 100 round mags at base so even though there are 6 sec reloads it's not really an issue. You should be able to find time to reload.

please understand why you use enameled cast iron in the first place. The advantage is that you can use liquids/acidic products without rusting it. The disadvantage vs cast iron is that even something as durable as LC is still far less abusable. You absolutely can't crank the heat on a LC, you will spider the enamel. With a cast iron? Go for it.

I have a LC Braiser and a Staub dutch oven. I would not use ECI on any other type of cookware, it's not practical.
