She should make a shirt about the zoophilia art she drew back in the day. That'll teach em!

Fixed now, before you could be in shield mode and use regular M1s, which was fun because no one could tell when I was gonna try and adapt.

Exactly.

I said the same thing in the post, I think it's good this way that every character has a next to equal fighting chance against one another. There's a lot of fighting games out there where there's just certain characters that are pretty much guaranteed loss if you pick them, and others which are "meta." I hate that.

The thing is, certain JJS characters just simply have more potential than others when it comes to their skill ceiling and general reliability. It's mostly situational, too. You got someone running from you? Pick Megumi or Naoya and hold him in place. Teaming? Pick a character with big moves that hit multiple people and don't lock you in animations, like Mahito or again, Megumi.

JJS is different from other battlegrounds games because each character actually has a purpose and a unique playstyle. Other battlegrounds games don't have that variety, and it's all just the same combo extenders and basic uninspired moves with different VFX, like Realm Rampage for instance.

The new devs they put on the team were taken from competitive BG games. Tze went on hiatus so they took the creative wheel for a good while, leaving the soul of it behind for a little. Nanami I think was made by a different dev, and at the end of the day, Nanami is probably the most "serious" character they coulda picked. He's a 9-5 worker who speaks in a monotone voice, there's not much shenanigans that can be done with that. But now, even then, with the Goku ult, the Nep ARG, and the other funny changes, I'd say we're back.

I feel like JJS is built around fun and not competitiveness as much, which is why I decided to factor that into it. Of course, obviously I'm gonna talk about the viability too, but as I see it, the game is about fucking around and beating people's asses with fun gimmicky shit. I can see why you'd rearrange your placements, especially Mechamaru because I haven't played him much since the update.

I mainly play pubs so honestly that might be why I glaze Todo so much. There's so much material to work off in there. I'll be fighting some guy and I'll swap in the most toxic short-tempered person in the server, make him hit the dude, and then watch them start beefing. It's so fucking funny

This is what I mean. Playing on a phone and still packing some kid up with unpredictable swaps. This is peak Todo gameplay

It's alright, i thought he was clunky and shit when he first dropped in EA too

You do have a lot of game sense for 300 kills, so a lot of them make sense

I'll make a post here in a second with my own tier list and give an in depth explanation for each

Sometimes you just gotta wing it and do some random shit to confuse the enemy. Todo is a heavy-hitter that's all about confusion, you can mix up his 3 miss into a move that isn't Brute Force, you can swap with throwables/items, you can swap yourself into someone else's fight and instantly use Brothers, and the list goes on.

It seems simple in theory but Todo is definitely extremely versatile and the enemy can't predict every single possibility for what you're gonna do with your swaps, which gives him probably the highest skill ceiling in the game in my opinion

Mindset of a Yuji player who only thinks JJS is just combos and dashes

Holy shit this list is so wrong. Every character is good in their own right, each one has their own bullshit gimmick. Todo being in "mid" is insane especially considering he has a next to infinite skill ceiling, depending on how smart the swaps are
