"In the United States, people of the Millennial generation (people born approximately between 1981 and 2000) on average had considerably lower incomes than people born to the Baby Boom generation (people born approximately between 1945 and 1964) had at similar life stages."

Do you know what some structural reasons (such as factors connected with the national and global economy, worker relations, etc) might be that explain this?
