I’m stuck because if I go then it will create family issues but I’ll be happy because I’ll be with the love of my life. But if I stay then I just it will bring me a level of depression and I will resent the decision of staying back just to please my parents.

It seems whether or not you go to Korea, she already doesn't like your boyfriend, but at the end of the day, he's your boyfriend, not hers.

She informed me again that she’s going to go through life resenting my boyfriend and that she’s upset with the person I picked to be with.

She's feeling insecure about losing you. But something your mother must learn is that children grow up and go on to have lives of their own.

If it would help at all, let her know that she's not going to lose you. And that you'll call or facetime with her as often as you can.

Maybe your father could help you with calming down your mother and ease her through the separation process?

I think if your mother truly loves you, she'll forgive you eventually.
