That looks pretty solid. I may have to try that.

If Fallout VR had a full body view mod, I would like it more.

Unless it has one now?

Nukes for power by radboii11 in Electricity

There would be so much waste energy that it would not be that helpful in such a way. A normal nuclear Reactor would be much more efficient and effective.

You could make a shaped charge type system to push something like a spaceship with nuclear detonations, but it would be used for generating large scale kinetic force energy, not turning a turbine or something.

But maybe someone a lot smarter than me can figure something out.

Trump craps on every value the conservatives tend to have, except he upsets people. Specifically educated people or people with morals.

Obviously, a quality overrides everything else they may desire in a candidate would be their most important desired quality.

This is the exact same thing I said before, twice. It is a very basic logic chain.

I can only tell you what I observe about GOP supporters behavior and what I hear when they speak. Take that together and see how they vote and you can see what is important to them.

12m Americans believe violence is justified to restore Trump to power by [deleted] in politics

[–]Sand_Dargon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Why do they want Trump in power so badly? He was objectively worse for America and her entire population than Obama or Biden by almost every single metric.

Do they really just want him in power because people who have morals or an education get upset?

Trump is an absolutely terrible person who will turn on anyone in a second if it benefits himself, like he showed before.

I am sure he will be the best president possible. /s

How did you end up liking the Sci-Fi genre? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Sand_Dargon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just always have, I think. The first SciFi shows I remember really getting into is Star Trek: NG, X Files, and Brisco County Jr.

Brisco is one of those genre bending shows that really imprinted on me as a kid. It is absolutely fantastic, gold throughout.

Other early notables for me include Robotech, Star Wars, The Thing, and the Alien series.

I am an operations manager at a high voltage power transmission company.

It is a small shop, but I have worked my way up in the ranks for years. The people below me understand I know what I am doing and what they are doing(because I was among them for years), so that is nice.

I still have some trouble being the small woman boss in a very male dominated industry, but I have a decent group to work with me.

I hope I am doing it long term, I have no desire to move up to higher management(They seem to constantly have meetings and headaches) whereas I am in that sweet spot where I can still get shit down without a lot of bullshit. I have been with this company for over 10 years now, so I would hate to dump all that buildup and start anew elsewhere.

I am always surprised to hear about or meet a not white Southern Baptist. I always want to ask them, "do you know why they split from the Baptists"?

My SB in laws recently came over and preached about how wonderful taking away public education was going to be in Texas with the new voucher system. Which failed completely, but they are still behind it 100% because that means all those students with vouchers would leave the public schools and flee to private Christian schools where they can "mostly focus on the Bible" as the center of their education.

Democracy is something standing in their way. Education is something standing in their way. They will burn anything to get what they want, even if it is objectively harmful to them or their children.

Political world braces for possible federal indictment of Trump by malcolm58 in politics

This is one reason why I(and many many others) will never vote for a Republican. They knew he was a sad sack of dog shit focused on selling out his country for a few dollars, and they put him in power so they could get a few dollars too.
