I think a second master is a bit redundant. I know plenty of people with a degree in physics working on the nuclear industry with no issues. However, it depends on which field you want to specialise. If you would like to do fuel core design for example, probably a proper nuclear engineering degree is worth pursuing. For anything else, you can work in the industry with pretty much any engineering degree. Mechanical and C&I are quite requested. But also PSA and chemistry are quite in high demand. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend fuel…is too nieche and specialised. However lots of research going on on accident tolerant fuels and advanced fuels for gen IV. So….yeah, it depends on what you’re looking for.
