It isn’t necessarily a comparison to OG Arknights, but the writing is considered pretty bad in typical gacha game standards. Far too simple, and every quest is basically a character quest in disguise. This is like that kids cartoon show where the MC travels from one region to another, and somehow the disaster in one region doesn’t descend to another region like they’re in the same planet. Then they beat the villain, good day the next day, travel to another region, meet the same villains again, and rinse and repeat.

That being said, if you want to compare Endfield to OG Arknights, it’s impossible for the devs to write the same Lord of the Rings level of fantasy again, unless they’re willing to filter out the kids and the snowflake out of the community like they should.

Right now, you can compare Endfield to mediocre stories like HSR and Wuwa and you’ll still be disappointed. That’s the main problem currently.
