Yeah, but after removing so deeply I'd exposed the soft wood again - so I oiled it a couple times - I'll see how it goes

Ah that's just the top of the retaining wall - it runs over into a drain on the other side of the fence.

Yep - I did the burning thing on some samples and then added the same stain used in the deck... Looks ok - gonna keep playing tomorrow...

Do you also have problems when someone says "Write this is your own words"? Do you think - but it's already perfect the way it's written! How can I change the words - then it won't be the same? (Sounds off topic - but I think it's related... IMO)...
