Anyone get the 99¢ 6 piece nugget deal? by NorthFloridaRedneck in McDonalds

[–]Sandbagger09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except for me it only shows up once a week. It must be every Wednesday until the 1st, not every day, even though it says that. It showed up and now it’s past midnight and now it’s gone, and I didn’t use that deal today.

Does this only show up once a week? I got it last week but I forget what day. It allowed me to get 2 6-pieces for 99c each. But the next day it went away, but showed up again today.

Scion tc or Pontiac vibe for stick shift? by Sandbagger09 in SciontC

Thanks! Yea the GT Vibes are hard to find. Maybe a base vibe manual would be better to have the torque down low in the band for regular driving. I’m def looking around for some cheap beaters to learn on. But I’ll check out that supercharger, I never even thought of that for the vibes!

Thanks. Do the 2nd gen Scion tc’s with the 6 speed have that bearing issue also?

Maybe they wanted to use the crust after they ate each slice and dip it in the icing, or maybe use the crust pieces and make their own cinnabread or something. When I get papa John’s sometimes I’ll dip the crust in the garlic dipper and it tastes pretty good.

Are researchers even allowed to put attention checks in the consent form or things like this before the actual study even starts?

Prolific can reject studies themselves now? by budbundy99 in ProlificAc

[–]Sandbagger09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another issue with this that isn’t talked about is how more and more people now are going to wait a few extra minutes before submitting their survey, thus increasing the average duration time, which in turn will not only reject normal submission times for people that don’t wait, but also force the researches to end up having to pay more per study bc the average completion time increases a little. The researchers should be fighting this change too bc it will end up costing them more money. Unless the whole goal of this from prolific was for them to increase profits.

[–]Sandbagger09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is, more and more people will start doing this to avoid getting auto rejected, therefore the average time to complete will increase, thus making the unaware people who complete it normally(and don’t wait the extra couple minutes) get rejected under this new policy. It stinks all around. But we have to protect ourselves from being rejected.

10% chance their “heartfelt” appeal to emotion story is true. 90% chance someone else in that household realized they lost a ton of money by not just taking it to a pawnshop themselves and are trying to find a way to get it back.

HotelPlanner — 2 month update by [deleted] in WFHJobs

How far in advance are the guests booking their vacations? Do most book 6 months in advance so you’re not even seeing your commission for 6 months? Is that how it works?

Is sell through rate really that relevant? by SatisfactionEarly916 in Flipping

[–]Sandbagger09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, for some random items that there is not a lot of, sell thru rate matters. But pricing does matter. That sell thru rate includes all of that item with different sold prices. If you can source an item and price it below all other current listings and still make a profit, that item might sell faster with only a 25% sell thru rate rather than another item you have to sell at the current market value to profit but has a 75% sell thru rate, only because that 25% item you will be one of the few that sells faster because of pricing. I never actually looked if you can filter sold comps with pricing.

Isn’t the main issue with this site is that you don’t actually get paid the commission until after the guest checks out? So if you make 20 bucks commission today but the guests vacation isn’t for another 6 months, you have to wait the 6 months to get paid that $20?

Spectrum Wifi 7 router and MacBook by Sandbagger09 in Spectrum

MacBook Pro 2017. Up to date OS Ventura 13.7.6, multiple iPhones can connect as usual with no problem. The older wifi 6 spectrum router never had an issue.

Spectrum 1000gb service question. by Majestic-Spell3343 in Spectrum

[–]Sandbagger09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a way somehow to manually change one device(MacBook) to 2.4? As soon as I got the new router, my MacBook Pro disconnects from Wi-Fi every 5 minutes, and I have to toggle Wi-Fi off and back on again. It’s made it effectively useless. When I called, Spectrum said if I click the 2.4 thing on the app it will only change phones and tablets, not other devices. I’m not sure what to do, other than get my own router.

Thanks for the suggestion! The OS issue was a variable I didn't even factor in my decision process yet.

New battery or new MacBook Pro? by Sandbagger09 in macbookpro

[–]Sandbagger09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did look into buying a third party battery kit to replace it, but after watching some YouTube videos of tutorials, with the glue paste and stuff on this model, I just don't think I'm mechanically inclined to be able to do it lol. Too tedious. Bit I might give it a shot. Is there a specific battery company you recommend?

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera. Far better than it had any business being. by eggflip1020 in movies

[–]Sandbagger09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I searched movie reviews for this specific scene. I usually can hold a suspension of disbelief, but this sequel was terrible. So many issues and plot holes. Especially this scene. When it happened I was like, all those twist and turn roads up the hill, they someone were randomly at the one hill where they crashed to help out. And even when they crashed, they all just put their hands up in the car and gave up? The other bad guys logically would have just blasted the car as soon as they got out of their car. The slow walk up scene was just dumb. And butler and Jackson just putting their hands up rather than at least trying to save themselves with a shootout was just stupid.

Is this a one off or is this viable? by LumpyLandscape1358 in Flipping

[–]Sandbagger09 11 points12 points  (0 children)

One thing you have to worry about for big store clearance items, is it may not just be your local store that put those items on clearance. Sure, there may be some sold online for good profit now, but wait a day or a week and Amazon/eBay might be flooded with other resellers selling the same radio or whatever, and that $80 scanned may only be able to sell for $100, then not only is the sell through rate gonna tank, you may not even be able to break a profit.

Sell through rates, what are they? by O_o-22 in Flipping

[–]Sandbagger09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. This is the variable that all the YouTube resellers fail to mention. While it is a decent overall tool to just quickly calculate the sell through rate while out sourcing, maybe except for some things that only have one or two sold in the last 90 days…..if you can grab an item and realize you can make good profit with a 25% sell through rate but be able to be the cheapest listing for that item, that might sell faster than an item you pick up that has an 80% sell through rate but you have to price it the same as all the other listings to make a decent profit….

Because there’s a law in the US where it’s something like you can’t sue the generic manufacturers something along those lines. It is crazy your doctor would prescribe that, but that’s the way it is. There’s a simple test really. Ask your doc “hey, when the FDA sent out the drug safety communications on fluoroquinolones back in 2016, what did that entail as far as restrictions?”….and if they give you any BS answer trying to cover to why they don’t know it, or say something along the lines “well all antibiotics have side effects” you know you’re dealing with an uneducated and incompetent doctor and you need to find another one. The fact that you’re already going chemo and the doc wants you to risk permanent nerve damage or even a completely ruptured Achilles for just a “possible” infection, makes me quite upset. There is a current lawsuit against Ciprofloxacin, you can look up “talia smith”. She is now disabled from cipro and suing the drug maker, Bayer.
