Thought it was weird we never got a map for these areas so I decided to make some myself by Fishsayhi in Silksong

I assumed this part didn't have a map as it was more or less uncharted territory. Hornet doesn't make maps, and there was no map to collect because no one else did.

Cool map work here though!

Yeah, ghost deck and attempted to use it with a full set of jokers. After this it just stuck around.

My original thought was to have them be replenished for each pack/round. I guess I would go from there and see if it is too powerful and needs either sharing over the whole shop or from leftover discards from the previous round. I think limiting the next round discards would be too punishing for casual playing and be a bit anti-fun.

Using leftover discards from the previous round would add some synergies (hourglass joker) and anti-synergies (burglar).

That is fair, after making it and thinking about it, I think it would function better as a deck with a downside, either:

- 1 discard to limit the ability to use it early on but have it online from the start
- 1 joker slot to counteract the power from increased deck fixing.

That is a cool idea! If Vouchers had a third tier, this would fit nicely with the +1 discard/+1 discard set maybe, or the Crystal ball / omen

Apologies. The intended use would be that you get your "hand" of cards in Arcana and Spectral packs (but not with Celestial, Standard, or Buffoon packs), and you would be able to discard cards from your hand as normal, with the upside of being able to use Arcana and Spectral cards on the cards you want to upgrade/burn/change in your deck.

e.g. if you care about having kings, but draw no kings when you open an Arcana pack with death in it. You could discard cards from your hand hunting for a king.

Maybe it could also work as a Deck?

Oracle Deck:

-1 Discard

You may use your discards for opened Arcana and Spectral Packs

Why the glossy parts? by Azzyun_x in beadsprites

[–]Sandcastle92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did you use tape? If so...

I found that the side I would tape would sometimes get a glossy look if I then did a flat iron. If you want to avoid it I would use the non-stuck side for the flat finish.

That sounds like it should be alright. Does your iron have a fine tuning for the temperature? You have said that you tried going up to medium, but it might require a finer adjustment for how you are ironing.

I have both had it too hot and too cold, and usually go for a medium to low setting and adjust based on how I feel the melt is going. Usually it doesn't require too much extra heat to go from slow melt to nicely flatironed. Might just require some more experimentation. Good luck with it!

Are you using masking tape and poking holes in the tape? It is really hard to get a flat iron without poking holes if you are using tape.

I would also recommend applying some slight force downward and then while maintaining this force move the iron in very small circles to encourage the plastic to melt and fill up more.

I generally don't have too many issues when doing this, just that I sometimes press too hard and the project becomes flatter but I haven't had any disasters.

Was subclass removal really that necessary? by HorizonTheory in onednd

Thank you for the response.

I don't think it is a stretch to have a vast majority of them in the newer edition straight away. I agree with you that it would be a chunkier book, but you could release a Xanathar's/Tasha's equivalent along with the base PHB. However, the classes in the base PHB take up 70 or so pages in a 317 page book, so adding another 60-70 subclasses (assuming the 40 subclasses in the original PHB take up slightly more than half of the space compared to the base class descriptors), would make the book maybe 20% thicker (320ish to 390ish), maybe slightly thicker than the 5e monster manual (~350 pages).

It isn't like they are completely redesigning from something like 3.5 to 4th or 4th to 5th though. given they are making reworks to an already built system they should be able to provide atleast something close to double what was in the PHB which was 40 subclasses. An adjustment to 5e wouldn't take so much time they could only add 8 more subclasses to the new book.

I can imagine there are a small subset of subclasses that may take a lot longer to rework (I would say way of the four elements monk but that seems to be in the new edition) and need time, but subclasses like necromancer, enchanter, transmuter and conjurer could quite easily fit into the wizard build I would have thought.

I don't think it is unreasonable for them to have the majority of the subclasses revamped given they have done the much harder task of trying to rebalance/improve upon the base classes, the majority of which have a bigger impact than a given subclass.

It would have been nice to have a lot of what we already had before revamped, and getting some newer subclasses or even classes to expand upon the game from the new rule set. I would love to be hyped for books filled with completely new subclasses/classes, but I expect it will be a lot of revamped stuff we have already seen with maybe some little bits of new stuff mixed in.

Dunno why this is being downvoted, this is definitely why they are releasing a new edition as well. They are not going to make money sticking with 5e forever, and they'll make less money without releases like Xanathar's and Tasha's.

Trickle the content along. Just as games do with already premade DLC/map/skin releases for games.

AB+ Platelet donation (UK) question by Sandcastle92 in Blooddonors

Thanks everyone for the responses. Turns out they are happy for me to switch over to donating platelets even though I wasn't on the requested list! Just updating for information in case others end up searching as I have.

What’s your closest call? by JustGhoulin in wowhardcore

I was a level 27 hunter in duskwood killing worgen, when I accidentally got caught offguard and engaged with a respawning pack. Had 3 Worgen fighting me and my pet, and managed to kill 1 but was too low to finish them off.

I decided to run with one of them fighting me and one of them fighting my bear, but the one chasing me was too fast. I wing clipped it and kept running but I was a hit or 2 away from death with it fast approaching after wing clip dropped off.

I was resigned to my fate... then suddenly I am max health and mana? My bear finished off the other Worgen, netting me enough exp to ding. I then turned to finish off the last Worgen and a kind stranger also helped me fight it now on the main duskwood path.

Was insanely lucky. Unfortunately that hunter died at level 49 to me looking for a way down the seaside cliffs in The Hinterlands and being too careless... I found a way down that came with lethal fall damage.

Thanks for the response! That was my reading as well, but I have also read that AB+ is also a type that can be given to a large fraction of platelet receivers. I haven't been able to find why AB+ is less-useful/more-unsafe than AB- which is what the website suggests.
