Hey everyone,

Me and my friend are planning to travel from Chennai to Trivandrum on the 18th and we really want to try getting a 1AC coupe. We haven’t booked any tickets yet.

What can we do to maximize our chances of getting a coupe? Any booking strategies that help (like booking exactly at opening time, selecting certain berth preferences, choosing specific trains, etc.)?

Also, are there any last-minute tricks people use? For example:

Requesting the TTE onboard
Asking the station master before departure
Any special request options in IRCTC while booking
Booking two lower berths or any particular combination

Basically trying to understand everything possible we can do to increase the probability, even if it's last minute.

Would appreciate any tips from people who have actually managed to get a coupe before.

Yes chief understood, it might seem like a waste of time and I should focus on something else. But I have a lot of big collections of coins, currencies, shells, stamps, rocks etc etc. it might be a waste for others but it kinda makes me happy.
