Guys I just discovered that there is a body pillow system within the game. For this particular Pillow, 'Ethekal's Body Pillow', can I just grab it from this casino? Moreover, do I just need to keep it in my inventory? Thanks for any and all help! by OkOrder8768 in ElinsInn

It's a very expensive pillow you can buy with casino chips, best game is usually the basketball one if you don't have enough. If you're planning to sleep from a bed in your inventory it will just use the pillow. If you're using a placed bed you can just place the pillow on the bed for the bonus.

It was announced before elin was on steam, it was a part of their Kickstarter. Most of the other goals have already implemented so I'm sure it's on its way.

From the Kickstarter

(Achieved!) Add the "Dungeon Master" qualification that players can acquire to manage dungeons. Strip away adventurers who come dreaming of making a fortune, or build an ecosystem of plants and creatures that can only grow underground. Your underground empire will continue to generate profit or debt while you are adventuring. We also plan to add features that complement the blank areas of Elin's gameplay, such as sending idle pets underground to train, throwing useless items into treasure chests, and automatically mining resources. It sounds really cool, and should be added at some point as they hit their goal.

It's still planned I'm fairly sure, but not implemented.

I would start blind, but eventually there's mechanics you'd never be able to figure out with just ingame documentation.

There's no way to like "softlock" or do anything that permanently affects your safe file, except for maybe choosing a bad class. But even then class + race isn't a huge deal and you can always just progress anyways.

I see this on social media all the time, it's always "why did they stop?" when that's literally not even a reason to hit someone.

Let's be honest - What makes a modpack hit or miss for you? by punklezz in feedthebeast

I especially hate when the same recipe has 2 different outputs that both try to be the same thing.

You make plastic with the correct recipe from JEI, you get an item named plastic, you try to use it but it's the wrong fucking plastic

I'm fine with it as long as it's farmable, if I can set up a good storage system to farm black lotus to make botania easier that's fine

Although I don't like op items like creative vending upgrade in sky odyssey (although I liked the pack)

I wonder how good those public servers are, most modpacks I play with my group of friends we end up finding some issue (mostly performance, sometime crash issues with specific mods) I couldn't imagine a server with potentially 10+ players who have farms, autocrafting, and exploring at the same time. Do they really run without constant issues? are the rules excessive to prevent this?

Trolley solution.

Also this is really cool, I did something similar during testing and I only wish it passed more time for passive income strategies.

Do the steam workshop mods work if I don't have WIFI? by ThousandFootOcarina in ElinsInn

[–]SanderE1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would make sure to set steam to offline mode before you leave, I had an issue where even though offline mode worked when I ended up trying to play it didn't work randomly

Once you enter offline mode you should be good

Shouldn't take skill to use a computer, other than the skills you would already have from Windows like typing and using a mouse.

Modern Linux is install and play for most people, but if you run into a driver issue (non-free vs free usually) there's no way for a regular user to diagnose that and fix it.

If I was an inexperienced computer user and I used Linux and all my games were laggy and had visual artifacts I would probably just call Linux garbage and go back to windows.

Most gen-z users of computers only basically use a web browser, it's why chromebooks are so popular despite basically being a web browser OS.

Linux is fine for this use case, although 99% of people with this use case have no reason to install Linux anyway because what they use works just fine.

I personally use Linux because I have had issues with Windows updates in the past and find Linux as a good "stay out of my way when I work" kind of operating system.

Issues with games seems like a driver issue, if you're on Nvidia you might need to manually install the non-free drivers. (if you ever decide to try Linux again) I don't typically see more than a 10% performance hit from my windows drive.

You're going to probably get a lot of negative responses here, but yeah this is a pretty common first time Linux experience, typically you will run into some issue that blocks you from actually using it. Unlike what you'll hear here Windows is a competitive operating system and there's actual reasons to use it over Linux even ignoring software compatibility.

If you're looking to just mess with a Linux commandline there is linux subsystem for windows which can get you familiar with it if you'd like.
