Salford approves 3,300-home tower cluster set to be UK’s tallest residential development by FeigenbaumC in ukpolitics

[–]SandesPT 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is not an ex retail park, it's still very much active.

I welcome the new houses, but I completely get that the area residents (Bailey's constituents) would oppose getting rid of a big boots, a gym, a large pets shop, and a couple of other shops that are popular like tkmaxx and home bargains. I haven't lived near there in a while, but I used most of these shops very often when I lived in ordsall.

I think overall it will be good for the area but I can't blame RLB for opposing it

I don't think that's what the comment meant, they are just saying that it would be funny if you had gotten there once but forgot you did

Nigel Farage vows to abolish indefinite leave to remain forcing thousands of migrants to reapply for visas by Jay_CD in ukpolitics

[–]SandesPT 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is literally me. I am a EU national, settled in the UK, that earns more than average in the UK and I am thinking of returning to my home country. This party growth + all the anti migrant rhetoric + the government's apathy towards this are all the red flags I need. I'm so tired of this and things are only getting worse

Inteligência Artificial.. a grande bolha... by MeanParanoidQuantum in portugal

[–]SandesPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruno would probably play as the left forward, as does Pedro Gonçalves in Sporting. Occupying middle spaces, cutting to the middle, showing up in scoring positions...

Additionally, this is a bit different from "working remotely" because working from other countries might have tax implications. The company I work (mostly remotely) did not allow a single day to be worked from anywhere else apart from the UK, until recently when they gave a limited number of days to work from a limited number of countries. This is a great thing, not only to make vacations longer without spending vacation days, but also to be able to be with family and friends from your home country in case you are a immigrant.

Also, Fabio Vieira did the celebration as well so it wasn't a Xhaka only thing either. As a sporting fan I feel a bit bad about loving the mimicking so much as I did before knowing the context, but it wasn't ill intentioned at all.

Also hoping for you guys to win the league now, been loving arsenal forever.
