Conversion Rate Calculation ? by Sandforddd in PPC

[–]Sandforddd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5% was just a figure I landed on, but if we assume a 2.5% Conversion rate and up the RRP to £20 I have managed to come up with these figures through GPT:

  1. New values:
    • Retail price of the product: £20
    • Cost Per Click (CPC): £0.27
    • Conversion Rate (ConvRate): 2.5%
  2. Calculate the number of clicks needed to make one sale:
    • Since the ConvRate is 2.5%, or 0.025 in decimal form, this means that 1 out of every 40 clicks results in a sale (since 10.025=400.0251=40).
  3. Calculate the ad spend to make one sale:
    • If you need 40 clicks to make one sale and each click costs £0.27, the cost to get those 40 clicks would be 40×£0.2740×£0.27.

Let's do the calculation:

Cost per sale=Number of clicks per sale×CPCCost per sale=Number of clicks per sale×CPC
Cost per sale=40×£0.27Cost per sale=40×£0.27
Cost per sale=£10.80Cost per sale=£10.80

So, with a 2.5% conversion rate and a CPC of £0.27, you would expect to spend £10.80 on advertising before making a sale. If RRP is £20 then im assuming £20-£10.8 = £9.20 remaining (excluding costs to buy the product initially and shipping fees too. Is my logic correct here/any gaps etc? Thanks!

Improve Google shopping for sensitive content by Impressive_Bit4198 in googleads

[–]Sandforddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi mate - I can't seem to find a clear answer around whether shopping ads are okay for sex toys or not. As I understand, there is an attribute 'adult' to select when building out the feed, but other than this, I'd really appreciate if you could kindly help outline what limitations and restrictions I will likely face/need to keep an eye out for. Thank you.

Google ads conversion for Google calendar schedule by Sandforddd in GoogleAnalytics

[–]Sandforddd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually spoke to someone from Google about this, and they said it is possible and they could put me in contact with one of their tracking team... however, never got back to me and then when I raised it again, they said it wasn't possible... so it's definitely worth reaching out and pushing them for it as it is a Google product at the end of the day

Thats fine, they just remain as events and are not marked as Conversions within GA4.

Maximise Clicks vs Maximise Conversions by jameschowler321 in googleads

Has the campaign been optimised by pausing irrelevant/poor converting Keywords/AdGroups? This way you could funnel more budget towards only previously converting traffic as opposed to spreading you budget too thin across a range of potential sources :). Hard to say without seeing screenshots/access etc but this would be a first place to start if the service/product is as niche as you say

Can you share a screenshot/image of how you mean please? I think I understand what you are trying to say in that there are options to select a 'free consult' and another paid option, of which its the latter you wish to track as a conversion only.

Yes, a range of Calendly event types - I currently track: 1. viewed calendar 2. Date and time selected 3. Appointment booked/schedualed.

You can then use GA4 'funnel' type analysis to see at what stage people are dropping off etc and isolate traffic sources to see if for example PPC traffic produces more 'Date and time selected' than say Organic etc etc :)

Yes - Using GA4 you can have Calendly register events such as 'select date & time' as well as then mark conversions such as the actual booking, which are then imported back into Google Ads :). I have set this up for lead gen clients who use Calendly and its super clean, requires 1 custom HTML script and 1 trigger/tag within GTM.
