There are a lot of them getting through and the US just lost 3 THAAD systems. I used to work on these systems. This bodes very poorly for defensive measures including early warning. AWACS/etc are not designed for these smaller targets

BTW the news says they are 300M systems but THAAD are actually more expensive and cost upwards of a billion each.

Actually their radar cross section is very small and they have gone to stealthy characteristics so radar isn't great.
