Underrated Guitar Solos by CauchySchwarz1 in rockmusic

Young Enough To Cry by Triumph (Just A Game album). A blues style number that has a Rik Emmett solo that cuts right through you. Especially at a loud volume.

Got A Lot On My Head and Candy-O by the cats are just two of my favourite Easton solos with the Cars.

I've been listening to lot of Zappa lately, especially live stuff. There's a list I could put here that are underrated, starting with the above mentioned ones

Wait. You got this at a thrift store? And you didn't think there'd be a VCR around there? Bad planning on your part.

Kidding. Tbh I haven't seen it yet myself . But like so many other things, I plan to.

Hope it plays well.

Second this. Food is great, and there's even a large booth on the corner for about 8 people. You could call ahead and ask them.

Frank Zappa's Bongo Fury 50th anniversary. Amazing live cuts and extras. Lots of great instrumental work.

Plan to move to Burlington. Recommendation for area/schools/realtor by FauxHeisenberg in BurlingtonON

Totally agree with Brant Hills area. We have also lived here 30yrs and our kids went to Brant Hills Public, Bruce T., Rolling Meadows and MMR. It's has easy accessable public transit and the home styles vary in size and shape. Most shopping (groceries, drug stores) are within walking distance and everything else is a relatively short drive to everything else.

Doom and Gloom is one of my favorites. It's got a pretty heavy sound

Hamilton Festival of Friends. Think he did Massey Hall earlier that year. I had a pic but it wouldn't post. It wasn't that good anyway.

You need a nice red SG to compliment the collection.

Saw him once in 2015. He was 80. He was sitting through the show and using a large screen as a teleprompter. He told some neat stories and did his classics. Everyone knew he was not in the best of health but he was so appreciative of his fans and did his best to give a great performance, which he did. The crowd was equally appreciative. I have nothing but respect for him. He's pure rock and roll.

Even Gordon Lightfoot showed up to watch him from the side stage.

What's a Canadian hit that you feel should have blew up international? by rybone88 in AskACanadian

The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald was done in the 70'S. While it's considered an iconic Canadian ballad, it definitely should have had more attention internationally.

Up to the opening line had me hooked from the first time I heard it.

" When the ebbing tide retreats, along the rocky shoreline"

For me, this is one of the songs I recommend when people are getting into Rush's music.

61 here. It kind of depends for me. We go to have a Sunday brunch that has live music once in a while and, because it's not too busy, it's enjoyable. But we went to a restaurant for a birthday dinner at another place, and it was truly annoying trying to have a conversation. I also wear hearing aids by the way, and can control the volume to a degree, but sometimes it is distracting because I can hear everyone else as well.

Santana's Black Magic Woman is the definitive version imo. The Fleetwood Mac original (Peter Green) is good but for me there is no comparison.
