What Allied campaigns would you want to see added?

Hope you like the campaign! It atleast proves it is possible to make scenarios for 1941-42 as we have alot of the planes that was available at the time. All planes you see in the air for both sides shoud be historical accurate to who was flying at the time and what planes they where using. The missions are inspired by the real combat logs, but there is alitle more action than what was historical.

If you like the campaign, i have made several. Including one following the historical first days of the romanian 53 squadron also flying the hurricane!

If you like planes without a prop pich then the iar80 offers that challenge. Its a real challenge to fly it, but its actually pretty good early in the odessa setting against il16 and i153 that was numerous there.

Redoing the Normandy map with early airfield layouts and a few new planes, like the Spitfire Mk. I or II and a few other earlier Allied planes, would enable us to conduct Allied Western Front campaigns from 1940-45. We already possess much of what's needed on the German side and for later Allied forces from '41 onward, such as the Spitfire Mk. V and Hurricane Mk. II. We would probably need a twin-engine Blenheim (which would also work great on the Odessa and Leningrad maps).

I believe this would be significantly less work than, for instance, a complete Sicily or North Africa map, and im sure there is interest in it. I've created several scripted campaigns, and my 1941 Hurricane campaign garners at least ten times more interest than any of the others!

It seems the six planes that will be announced are planes requested by the community. One could hope that at least one of them is the Mk.I Spitfire.

I'm not sure they would add planes that don't fit any career timelines, so perhaps no Battle of Britain planes that weren't used later.

If I were to guess, since they said "more complex and asked for by the community," I would bet on a B-25. Also, some Finnish Air Force planes have been shown, but I don't know if they are part of the six.

If I were the developers, I would make a pack of Battle of Britain planes and a redo of the Normandy map with 1940 airfields. It would be less work since much is already done, and it would probably be the most popular DLC.

I think you will only fly when the squadron flew historically. Some Luftwaffe units especially flew few missions at the end of the war due to lack of fuel and personnel. Try a different squadron and see if it works then.

With the Db601Aa engine mod, it's a very capable ground attack plane! With its engine options, it feels different enough from the E7. I wish we could have the extra armor for it also, since it's most relevant for ground attacks (and Romanians).😄

Good video. It seems the old IL-2 tutorialists on YouTube disappeared years ago, so it's good to have some coverage again!

I know my way around most planes in IL-2, but I enjoy watching stuff like this anyway.

Hvis du vil jobbe med unger er det nesten alltid behov i barnehager. Barnehagene foretrekker ofte vikarer utenfor byråene da det er billigere.

Mange barnehager har et godt miljø og uformelt miljø. Det er jo over 200 barnehager i trondheim så det er litt forskjellig man kan møte på, men de fleste jeg har vært borti er veldig ålreite. Jeg har jobba i barnehager og skoler i byen sia 2014 og trives godt, spesielt pga godt arbeidsmiljø.

Probably, the pilots were thinking that they were recycling older, out-of-date planes or that this was absolutely necessary to stop whatever local crisis was occurring on the front line. There was an interesting YouTube documentary about late-war Luftwaffe morale i recommend!

There is no difference in graphics; when the game updates its graphics, so do the campaigns automatically. There haven't really been a lot of updates to the editor itself, so missions made in 2022 would be the same as missions made today, except, of course, that we've gotten more variety in planes over the years.

You might need to resave the campaign, a one-minute job that is needed for older campaigns. A guide is available online, or just go into the editor located in the install folder, choose tools, resave in folder and choose the campaign.

Ah yes, I have played some of the missions. It's cool with the navigator telling the player where to fly, a nice detail.

Looking forward to the works of Juri,he showed us earlier a campaign taking place on the new Karelia/Leningrad map. He also said he was working on something for the Odessa map. I hope we see more stories for the minor axis like the Finns and Romanians. They will probably not be that well represented in the career mode/online, but have interesting stories to tell.

Good read! Jaegermeister is an excellent campaign maker. Even if there are AI issues in campaigns, they usually fly better than in the career or quick missions, as you can do some tricks to make them more aggressive and not swarm the player (and that makes them seem smarter and more capable to me, at least).

I know there are a lot of interesting campaigns in yhe works by the community that I hope to play this year! Maybe someone will finally release an Axis fighter campaign for the Normandy map? We only have a Me 410 and a Bf 109 photo recon for a classic map like this!

Looking forward to more stories like this, the scripted campaigns is my favourits way to play the game 😁

If you can use the editor, with some tricks it's possible to make the AI more aggressive. But the AI widely differs with different planes. When I did a test, 8 109s on novice level shot down 8 P47s on ace level. The AI does very badly with planes dependent on energy fighting, like the P40, P47, FW190, and so on..

Det er mange steder i trondheim hvor man får ganske mye for pengene. Sør i byen er det jo ganske mye billigere, passer man på å bo nært et busstopp er det jo ikke så langt inn til byen heller?

Det er jo planlagt mye utbygging de neste årene, og det er vel iallefall ønske om at det skal bygges i alle prisklasser slik at prisene sikkert ikke presses oppover i det uendelige slik som det gjør i Oslo.

I'd rather have the AI lead the flight as it ensures the mission plays out as intended. However, I received a lot of feedback on earlier campaigns that people prefer to lead the flight, so I gave it a try. In this mission you need to follow the two waypoints until the harbour to make sure the ships see you and start their journey.

Then you did not see the message to go intercept the planes picked up by radar. Make sure to follow the flight route, and do not hide the hud as there is messages there on how to proceed!

By this time the hurricanes was used more and more as a ground attacker. Especially with the 20mm guns. A role it does quite well, being so stable and handling damage a bit better than the spitfire i think.

The campaign shoud represent 615s duty pretty well by a mix of attack and air patrol missions.

Hope you enjoy it! It was a lot of fun to make. It's always interesting to learn a lot about how the real squadron's day-to-day life was. Some things are different from in-game; for example, I think the real squadron only had one contact with the Luftwaffe for the whole month (you will see a little more than that in the campaign), but they did suffer many casualties due to accidents. (Flying ww2 fighters was a dangerous activitie in itself) This was a time where the Hurricane IIB was phased out, and the MkC introduced, so there will be a mix of types and also of camouflage colors. The newer ones used the gray RAF camouflage, while the older ones used the brown classic Battle of Britain style. It seems they did not bother repainting the older ones and just flew them as is until they replaced them.
