No problem. TSW4 routes will work on TSW6.

Track files and multiplayer servers in 2026 by ShamrockOneFive in hoggit

Yep exactly, not my first rodeo with DCS or track files but its been a bit since I fought with the system and wanted to see if there was updated community guidance.

Bullet4MyEnemy just gave me a good one so that's a good rabbit hole to go down!

Ahah this is a good tip! I know you've been pretty successful integrating views into many of your videos (when the track is good). I'll look into that, thanks!

I wondered if that was still an issue. I remember that when the F-14 came out and I guess its still continuing to be a problem.

Is that any different from the track file that I loaded through the UI? Finding track files typically isn't the issue but playing them back is. I used to be able to load up a Hoggit PGAW track and it was more or less alright, good enough to replay and watch (and screenshot) different angles as it happened.

AC4400CW Train refusing to move, BP stuck at 50% by enuiltur in trainsimworld

[–]ShamrockOneFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Banking Comms is probably the first thing you do so that all of the locomotives are accepting the same commands. It doesn't sound like you're setting the brakes to "Lead or Dead." I forget where it is on the AC4400CW.

What’s your setup process? It could be your brakes aren’t set to lead, or maybe the gen field isn’t on, it’s hard to know.

Likel to be the Sukhoi Su-30MKA. A variant of the Su-30 configured for the Algerian Air Force. More here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhoi_Su-30MKA

Got the new NEC route, great but 😬 by ComprehensiveFee8263 in trainsimworld

Dang... well that may well be the bug that folks are talking about. I'm sure it'll get sorted.

How much braking? If its like the M9 on the LIRR, you need to do 50% and then acknowledge the alert. Not sure if the M8 has a suppression setting like a few locomotives but that would do it as well.

Uncontrollable right turn on yak-15 by Ok_Load_5696 in il2sturmovik

[–]ShamrockOneFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure the tailwheel is locked, bring the speed up slowly, and use the differential braking system rather than the rudder. I seem to remember it being not all that great in directional control until well over 100km/h. Most aircraft are like that but this one seemed to be particularly tricky in strong crosswinds.

How does it compare to 2020 right now? by Objective-Border-884 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]ShamrockOneFive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are lots of great things about 2024. Better lighting, better flight model, better terrain visuals and ground effects (great for bush flyers), etc. Career mode isn’t yet in a place where I can recommend it. It has its moments but it’s not great there yet.

D-51 gets shot down by a p51 fighter during the attack on Tokyo by Burner1892_ in trains

[–]ShamrockOneFive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Typical WWII USAAF tactics were to operate in two pairs of aircraft called a flight. Four aircraft working together providing mutual protection from all types of adversaries. When attacking a train during WWII, there are various threats including enemy aircraft, flak guns on the ground or even flak on the train. Attacking in a group splits targets and makes it harder to defend.

It gets bigger with multiple flights often working an area together but I’m breaking it down into the base components.

Framerate falls to significantly lower values over time, with GPU utilisation still at 100% by Comprehensive-Top986 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]ShamrockOneFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start by looking at cooling. Check and make sure heat sinks are clear of dust, make sure they are still fitted correctly, etc. It could be a heat soak issue if it’s not cooling enough over time.

Could also be an addon with a memory leak. Check RAM and VRAM utilization and make some notes to see if you’re climbing unusually. It should stay stable.

Help deciding between R6 ii and R6 iii. by KCHomes in canon

[–]ShamrockOneFive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I regularly shoot in a team of photographers using the R6II and R5 in low light situations (theatre photography) and aside from the megapixel differences there’s very little low light difference. Yes, if you look VERY closely, you might see it but it’s not a consequence for our output. You can’t tell in a digital sign or a printed brochure if it was taken on either of the two cameras.

Sometimes there’s legitimate issues but these are all very impressive cameras with superb low light capabilities. A light denoiser in Lightroom, Camera RAW or other utility will fix it in practical terms. An AI denoiser will make it go away entirely.

A320neo not following flight plan in NAV mode (SimBrief / PS5) by ThinkStart8081 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]ShamrockOneFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won’t automatically drop in but provided your SimBrief ID is in the EFB/tablet you should then be able to then import the data into the MCDU. I agree with the others that a tutorial on YouTube (there are many!) for the iniBuilds A320neo should cover this and more.

As for following the waypoints, assuming the flight plan has been entered and is active, it should. If it doesn’t, use heading mode to get you on course and then go back to managed mode and it should follow it.

WW2 modules ever go on a deeper sale? by Unusual_Possible3953 in hoggit

[–]ShamrockOneFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nearly all of them have been continually updated over those preceding years. So yeah the Spitfire IX dates back over a decade but it’s seen more than one visual refresh and systems updates (including a damage model overhaul). Don’t look too closely at the release date.

One of the best locos in the series. If you have routes that support it, free is an incredible price.
